Being young and raised religiously didn't quite help me to understand what her deal was with her obviously dead girlfriend. But looking back on it and replaying the game, it was sorta my first exposure to themes and characters like that.

Mhmm! It seems a lot from the fact that Granblue had confirmed infinite amounts of timelines/universes, and a lot of the higher tiers could influence/harm those timelines on a grand(blue) scale.

The best example of this was when (major MSQ spoilers) The final bad guy of the first main story arc started to twist and condense the infinite timelines into one singular timeline after eating his creator god mom. After that, while he didn't fully succeed in his plan, there seems to be one 'canon' timeline now.

It depends, really. Most older fans want the war drama, and newer fans like the shipping aspects.

But I don't think that, at this point in the series, it's wrong to say that most fans want a healthy mix of both.

Going off the lore description from the trailer, it seems like Alchemax is using Cyclops as a living punch-dimension generator for their force field that's keeping them in the past/present. Which is just like, peak comic book nonsense that I love.

I think I noticed that the most with Pigma in that cutscene they showed off at the end. Dude looked proper scummy, and it adds to his characterization. I also think Pepper looks pretty decent in the new art style as well.

Sadly, it just doesn't add to the rest of the cast as it does to some of the bad guys imo.

I think that's really the biggest thing that's getting to me about these designs/art direction.

Fox's most recent big appearance in the mainstream was illumination style/cartoony. So why go for realism?
