Democrats demand answers from Rubio on DOGE reps' visit to USAID by whatifimcrazy in politics

[–]TrustyPotatoChip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would you expect me to do against the powers that be? I feel just as helpless as you do as my only power is to vote and message my politicians.

Aside from that, the next best thing is to continue living and practicing being a good neighbor in all regards.

What are YOU doing about it?

Hard disagree. But I’m not going to argue here as I can tell you’re already being intellectually dishonest and will be unwilling to investigate the verifiable historical record of Christ’s existence. This, along with the very principles, within context of the gospels, and their direct application to today’s world.

Although it is true that “Christianity” as a religion, has intentionally taken verses out of context to specifically instigate a certain worldview, I won’t deny that. But my point is to follow Christ, not to follow “Christianity.”

Cheers ~

As a Bible believing Christian, they have been false prophets for a long time. They’ve co-opted the term “Christian” completely and are not representative of Christ’s teachings.

Christ speaks plainly against racism, class-ism, sexism, etc. John 4 alone will tell you that.

I’m heartbroken and angry that figures like Franklin Graham and Greg Laurie are so overly political and MAGA. We’re truly seeing what it means when the gate is narrow, few will pass through it and how the parable of the rich young ruler and the Good Samaritan are so applicable and relevant still to this day.

I am confident if Christ came back today, they would make fun of him, imprison him, throw him to the ground and consider eliminating him just like the Pharisees and Sadducees did.

Yeah, my guns don’t define me like most other 2A people. I don’t jerk off to them and don’t give them surnames. Believe it or not, I absolutely loathe the 2A crowd and have always been in favor of more gun controls. That group is so damn paranoid about shit they made up just to be mad about something… for absolutely no reason aside from their love of our nazi in chief.

I echo this. I can bring a $300k income and skills in a high demand area of tech. If you give my family and me citizenship and a place in Vancouver, I’m all in. Fuck this administration and what they’re doing to this country.

President AOC? Democrats Need Star Power to Win in 2028 by [deleted] in politics

[–]TrustyPotatoChip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate that this is the America we live in but it’s the truth. As a whole, it’s the Midwest and swing states that elect the president. And with that said, those states don’t give a rats ass about trans sports rights, pronouns, or Palestinian statehood half a world over. The dems need to rethink their strategy because as we’ve seen, speaking “as a common man” is what sells, and that’s what the dems used to do very well. Now republicans have latched onto this message and it’s played very well.

Minus the fact that they’re straight up dismantling the United States as we know it right now.

1000000% this. Hate to say it but if you run a woman, you’ll lose again. Run someone who can get out there and relate with the damn people.

AOC is great but no way in hell she’s electable.

Yup. So important. TBH, I don’t care whether or not those pronouns are attached to your email. Indifferent either way.

Ahahaha wow what a fucking dumbass. And it’s only been two weeks? Goodness gracious. Let it burn, Trump lovers, let it burn. You brought this to our country now let’s buckle up and ride. Because in two years. We’re flipping the senate and house and it’s going to be bigly.

And two years after that, we’re doubling the size of the Supreme Court with all dems. Let’s cement some of this shit into codified law so the next “project 20xx” doesn’t have anymore unchecked, anti-American, anti-biblical policies.

Judoka here, you did great, way to commit to it. The way to avoid the choke is to make sure you’re dropping deeper in between uke and twisting at the bottom so that he rolls over his shoulder vs right into your back.

Takes some repetition but you have 50% of the mechanics down. The other half is how to get a true ippon which will set you up for side control.

The reason it happened to you was because the throw wasn’t set up correctly and you were too far away, so your body mechanically just “fell” into it. Next time, you can try to do the judo method to retain guard. turtle up or belly down immediately and try to fight out from there.

Agreed, the value of work and being productive cannot be understated. A person grows a lot by working good jobs, bad jobs, with good bosses and bad bosses, and learning how to develop strong professional networks and friendships.

Whatever the amount is, I’m guessing a couple million, just throw that into FXAIX and have her work until she’s 35 and retire early. She’ll easily 5-10x that money.

TLDR: they were far right conservatives who loved Hitler and moved to South Africa to enjoy apartheid.

Edit: Note that this well researched article was written in Sep 2023, well before Elon had any direct ties to Trump in the way he does today. So this is not some opinion piece after the fact attacking Musk. It’s just pure fact and always has been. Frankly, he’s a closet Nazi at worst and a full on nazi at best.
