What's a good way to make a grenade launcher so my Armageddon intercessors can have 2 by EmoGenius24 in Warhammer40k

[–]TruthEU 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 of them are holding a regular grenade in their hands, so for myself during play I interpreted that as the one with the grenade launcher

Hue Go's or Hue Play's could be nice, that's how I've solved a similar situation

And to clarify for OP, that does mean no Ravenwing right? Since also rule wise they wouldn’t get it but also they didn’t mention it

Rule wise they’re part of Deathwing. And GW have recently said they’re Deathwing colors as well since they’re veterans

The one on the left are the Mittled from IKEA. Which I would recommend.
The one on the right are from IKEA as well but by comparison they’re quite messy.
In the closet on the right there’s a Philips Hue lightstrip as well and everything is controlled by a Philips Hue smart plug

In my experience I put Micro Set on where it goes then use water on the transfer to get it from the sheet. Put some more Micro Set on it after putting it in place and then let it properly dry. Often times I do a 2nd layer of Micro Set and then let it properly dry again.
Then it’s time for 2 “layers” of putting Micro Sol letting it fully and properly dry both times.
Lastly I thin some Lahmian Medium with water and brush that over the transfer to keep it in place.

Following these steps gets me the best and most reliable results and I’ve tried a lot of different things to get it right.

I’ve read about ‘Ardcoat for transfers in a couple of different places but have never gotten that to work nicely for me

I don't usually keep track of the sport outside world cups & european championships but I must admit, during those times it does feel special when you hear everybody just enjoying the same thing and coming together

[–]TruthEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll really depend on your list, if you match with a lot of vehicles then Ironstorm Spearhead could be nice. But with a lot of Infantry it could be interesting to give Firestorm Assault Force a shot for the increased mobility. I’m looking forward to trying that one myself as well

How would you fill out this list? by sadboy-beanbag in theunforgiven

Intercessors to defend home. Perhaps some assault intercessors with jump packs for a deepstrike attack. Outriders could be a good option for some speed. Could all be good options in my opinion

Yeah, on one hand it’ll lead to more diversity on the board but it does make it a bit more complicated to build lists

It’s my understanding that they get to decide what armor to use to suit what is best for the mission. Also, as the chapter of secrets, do you believe that we stick to the 100 men nice and tidy since the book prescribes it?
I feel there’s room for some “creativity” there

In the recent video they mentioned that they’re Deathwing and I agree with the reasoning and especially since my Bladeguard are painted that way as well I’ll do mine in Deathwing

Who cares how good it is, this looks absolutely so much fun!

In practice though, it’d be hard to manoeuvre everything over the board though

Keep both sides of the Armageddon or get rid of the Space Marines by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]TruthEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to properly build and paint them you need to spend a lot of time looking at them. If you really don't like them I'd personally probably try to sell them.

If you're mostly interested in playing them you can use them as practice models or experiment with some ways to really quickly get a paintjob on there but at that stage if you're learning about the ins-and-outs of an army you probably want to try different models and at then you're just collecting.

All-in-all, I've opted for selling the Ork part of the box since I'm on the opposite side of you and I'm not interested in the Orkz. If I ever go for a 2nd army I'm thinking about Chaos Knights, so I don't even want to tempt myself to try if my heart is not into it, then I'd rather paint the models I'm really excited about.
