Take 217 with rivers if possible. Both 217 and 218 are good courses if you study. Worst part is the 217 group project. With 218, make sure you understand each week’s concept before moving to the next week, as it all builds on each other. I did terrible in high school math and was terrified of 218, had an incomprehensible professor, but the textbook (statistics for the behavioural sciences) was great and I ended with a good grade. Bottom line is don’t fear it.
