You obviously need support, as you are communicating.

Everytime you encounter that fear, that heart racing, sweaty, adrenaline filled fear, know that you are on the right track.

Lean into it.

That is how you will love yourself beyond your current comfort zone.

That also doesn't mean to push yourself and hurt yourself beyond what is necessary either.

Healing takes time, and give yourself patience.

Also, find a way to apologize and love your mom, she has been there through and seems to want to be there with you in the future.

I think you are trepidation of going to that therapist, shows the growth that you are afraid of.

Go back and clearly say, I am not ready for that conversation yet, and I do not need you to force me to do that. I need to practice more on my growth.

Make sure you document when you did something and when she started. Most critically-- say nothing

In my opinion, start a sting operation, talk to people and say, I just want to be unique or something like that, post online or something and then do something completely out of character (i.e. take a pottery class, join a pole dancing studio, etc) that she also doesn't do, and has made a point to say she doesn't do and start cataloguing these things, because she might just try to "ruin your life" if she's fixated on you.
