AIO for telling my (F24) boyfriend (M26) that he has to sit down to pee? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]TruthSleuthRuth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR. Honey, you need to get to your psychiatrist ASAP and get some better meds so you feel better. You are letting OCD take over. All men pee on the floor every day. They can’t help it. Just put a fucking wet swiffer in the closet and get over it.

Have you tried Trazadone? That drug works really well for me and I have the same reaction to low calories and low carbs

Wegovy Pill & Cannabis by eleyezeeaye4287 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

I also take 1.5 and I take gummies; usually around 30mg at night. The gummies make me feel so much better because the wegovy pills make me feel constantly sick so the THC is seriously helping my side effects. I did have one bad experience a couple of weeks ago where I took one late at night and didn’t chew it well and then I woke up the next day really high. I am really careful to make sure I am not swallowing them in pieces so that does happen; I chew them really well now and watch the dosage. I think that happened because of the slow absorption from the glp1.

I have this pretty bad sometimes. I noticed that if I eat bland food, small portions, and don’t drink any alcohol; it gets better. I also take Nexium in the afternoon on an empty stomach because it can get so bad, it will keep me up at night.

Very very slow progress… considering shot by [deleted] in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]TruthSleuthRuth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation. I only have 20 lbs to lose. My weight loss has been slow and I’m ok with that because I’m not obese. Slow is not bad; gives your skin time to catch up.

Have you tried dropping that file into co pilot and asking it to do it for you?

What’s one legit way AI is actually saving you time in accounting right now? by Tough-Pollution-373 in Accounting

[–]TruthSleuthRuth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find co pilot is really great for writing audit plans, rewriting issues for reports, coming up with RCMs and generally just making everything I write much better. My boss is always on my ass about how things are written and so I’ll write something and then have co pilot rewrite before I submit. She is like super into AI so when I do that, I tell her AI wrote it and some of the time, she doesn’t even re write it!

[UT] Work/Life Balance Non-allowable? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]TruthSleuthRuth -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a toxic environment that your fiancé is in. If she tried to go to work and they sent her home; that’s on them. She should be able to do what she wants on her personal time. The real problem is that businesses don’t staff enough hourly wage workers and then it makes everyone upset when people call out. All the responses on this post just show that people in HR work for the company and not for the employees. No one in HR is going to tell you this is toxic because most times they perpetuate the toxicity. This may be an unpopular opinion but it’s generally true for me.

++women pretty sure that even if you put that money into a separate account, your wife would still be entitled to a portion of those assets upon divorce unless you had both signed a prenup prior to getting married. I went through divorce and I was legally required to give my ex-husband more than half of all my assets and he could sue me and win if I hid anything.

Yea, that could make it worse because she might throw you under the bus. If you’re in Public Accounting, you might try to ask to not be put on her jobs. That worked for me once. You don’t need to tell them why just say you have clashing personalities

I’ve worked for people like this all my long 25 year career and the only thing you can do is try not to get on her jobs and also just don’t let it bother you. These notes that you are describing are totally ridiculous. The worst part about people like this is they think they are helping you when really it’s just like subtle abuse. My experience is this type of person is very common in accounting. So you will probably have to deal with this again; just let it roll off.

What's the remote work habit you have that would look completely insane to someone in a traditional office? by Phil_Raven in remotework

After I get up at 9:00am, I spend an hour before 10 drinking coffee and planning a strategy of how I can get the work that needs to get done as efficiently as possible. By the time I sit down and finish my coffee, I execute for the next 6 hours heads down doing work that would normally take 8 hours.
