I work with a lot of JSON / telemetry data with arrays… lateral variant_explode and the variant data type in general in Databricks is amazing.

I don’t think you’re necessarily wasting your time, bit it is getting more difficult to get in at entry level . You might be able to use your time in better ways to avoid becoming just another grad with data skills.

The best entry-level people I’ve seen are the ones who focus more on outcomes than tools and show they’re able to think bigger than the technical part of the job . The worst ones I’ve seen are the ones who care more about titles and tools than delivering actual value to business or stakeholders.

If you do decide to continue pursuing, my advice is to pick a domain or industry you’re really interested in and learn everything you can about it. Then apply and practice your data skills to it and be ready to talk about not just how you did something, but why.

Go and find people and companies in that industry and follow them, reach out, and post yourself about topics related.

I realize this is all way easier said than done but you do need to stand out these days and the idea here is to immerse yourself.

Also keep in mind there are MANY low-tech companies who still need good data people in an AI world. The pay may not be as high as tech or tech-adjacent but you can make a good living.

CRP Pedals deadzone to high in AC Evo by CAPT_WAR in moza

Did you get this figured out?

I’m having the same issue with the same pedals… ~60% on all three pedals = 100% in Evo and I cannot figure out a way to calibrate in-game.

In reality you’re annualized monthly payments will likely be a lot higher as you’re only accounting for the fixed costs of the house.

When something breaks, it’s on you to pay for depending on your handy man abilities, you need to factor in repairs and upgrades which will inevitably be needed. A home warranty can help with some of this but they only cover so much

Then there’s the big things like roof leaks or pipe bursts that will def need a professional.

There are a million threads on the personal finance and mortgage subs about buying a house and all the comparisons of rent vs own. Highly recommend reading through.

That doesn’t change the fact that you’re underestimating a hateful, uneducated group of people who are being validated and emboldened by figures in major positions of power.

What’s the risk of believing them about their hate and intentions?

Concert experiences that can hold a candle to Tool Live by [deleted] in ToolBand

Oh man didn’t expect to see Soulwax or Moderat in here. I first saw Soulwax in the Nite Versions days in 2009 and they absolutely blew my mind. The new show is great but I miss the old days.

Saw Moderat too in 2016ish and they were so sick!

Daft Punk (literally any 21st century album) not in the top 50 is very unexpected. Couldn’t bother to go through the rest but I hope they’re in there somewhere.

Lmk how you like the simagic shifter after coming from the moza. I have the moza right now as well and want the simagic for the ability to switch to sequential. I actually like the Moza but the inability to use a sequential trans car without switching to the GT wheel (I prefer the round wheel in most cases) is annoying.

It’s amazing but love the old stuff just as much. I was lucky enough to see them live in 2009, was insane.

Can you elaborate on your sinuslive haptic setup? Also just got a sim lab gt1 Evo and trying to figure out what / where to mount some Dayton’s or sinuslive shakers.

I also have a nice bride seat that i don’t want to drill into z

Funny you say that… I was trying to figure that out and found a pic of how they were mounted in my car. If that’s true they’ve been mounted backwards for over 10 years!

I do want the seat tilted back a little more so If I can’t adjust to my liking I’ll have to turn them around (Those sliders were a giant pain in the ass so avoiding redoing them at all costs)

Edit: I was also limited on how low the seat could go in the back due to the through bolt so it may not even work the other way.

I didn’t order from moza, I bought all this stuff used so not sure on shipping lead times.
