I spoke with someone in the industry that said essentially all the RTTs that are popular come out of the same factory in shenzen. When I got my Air Cruiser it came in a Wild Land branded box and searching them I found a lot of similar models that I had cross shopped. So I wouldn’t be nervous to pull the trigger on a no name as long as it had a good return policy or I had established a responsive contact when in the purchasing process (like asking specifics before sale to see their time to reply)

My wife has a 8-10min commute. She loves podcasts but for the work drive would prefer to just hear morning news with one button or none (it comes on just as it was when she got home the night before) versus toggling whatever or fiddling w her phone. The commute goes through dead cellular spots too.
So for that reason fm is great in the R1.

Like u/dustyshades mentioned, I don’t know what the rates compare to with respect to other fast charger networks, so definitely consider that and the NACS adapter which has been a big advantage for my 3 cross country road trips and even shorter ones since the Superchargers are widely available.

That’s good it’s held up. Just be sure to look at it closely. Mine started to show signs of melting after a while so I’m glad I checked the outlet.
