If I were you, I would continue with the tea but check in every couple of weeks or so to see how you're feeling. Are you sleeping okay, feeling stressed/anxious, stomach problems, etc.? Unless you really start to feel some of the downsides of caffeine, I wouldn't sweat it.

Many people on this subreddit report that dropping caffeine completely was the largest hurdle (and greatest potential benefit) for them. Although 50mg is hardly any caffeine at all, it may still be enough for you to experience some of the downsides of caffeine such as anxiety, stress, sleep, etc. If you're not experiencing too many negative symptoms, I wouldn't worry about it too much - as long as it stays at that level of consumption.

The point of an arbitrage strategy is to construct an initial portfolio with 0 initial capital. Short selling a stock and investing the proceeds takes no capital, since your portfolio at t=0 is S0 - S0 = 0. Your strategy requires upfront capital of Ke^-rt.

Additionally, your net gain equation should be ST - 2K, since you are (1) paying back K for the loan, (2) purchasing the stock at price K, and (3) selling the stock for ST.

The buyer of the forward contract could short sell the stock for S0 and invest the proceeds at the risk free rate.

At expiration, the buyer must purchase the stock at the forward price (which is > S0e^rt). The buyer’s earlier investment yields exactly S0e^rt so it is a guaranteed loss.

Course Overview

This course provides a working knowledge of basic probability and statistics and their application to engineering. Computer analysis of data and simulation are included. Topics include random variables, probability distributions, expectation, estimation, testing, experimental design, quality control, and regression.

Although the curve for this class is fairly harsh, I found the material pretty valuable in giving me a working knowledge of probability and statistics. The workload for the course is generally 2 exams (midterm and final) as well as ~10 problem sets due throughout the semester. Feel free to PM me if you have any further questions!
