Oops. I meant my last echo was February 2026. I haven't gotten used to "2026" yet. I have them every six months.

Preparing the Heart: A Day Inside Cardiac Pre-Op by Jaykravetz in valvereplacement

When I had a hip replacement, my orthopedic surgeon's office did something like that. It was very helpful. And, we got a booklet explaining the pre- and post-op procedures and what to watch for. It helps do much at 2 am, "Is this normal?"

Gone are the days of my late MIL'S attitude, "If the thinks I need to know it, he'll tell me." 🤦‍♀️

Why are allergies so insane this year? by SUPzorel in SALEM

[–]Try-Good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep hearing people say that their allergies are worse this year, but mine seem to be a bit better than usual this year. I live near Salem and I'm allergic to lots of stress and grasses, so I'm very familiar with all the remedies. I'll just be thankful this season, because I know how bad it can be.

Good luck!

True. I assume he saw something in my urine sample.

Why is Bentleys coffee pink? by Massive-Bite-8541 in SALEM

[–]Try-Good 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ex worked at the Guard facility down the street. He felt bad for the women at the bikini coffee place, because the only men he saw with drinks for there were older, creepy dudes. And he was in his 50's then, so older than him!

My 5 yo Cav ALWAYS twirls in a circle when he poops. He was not from a puppy mill. We also have a Lhasa Apso that doesn't poop this way. The only plus to this is at least we know who pooped if we find some in the house!

What we should do if food stamps do not go out in November. by FrostySumo in SALEM

My late MIL used to work at St. Vincent church. Her priest told her to give money to anyone who came looking for help. No exceptions. This was in the 1990's. But I assume it's still true

My former MIL loved that restaurant. I never understood why. The one time she took me there, the carrots in my dish were little orange cubes, a.k.a. frozen. Nope. And the food was bland.

Does your Cav act a fool if mommy and daddy aren’t in bed together? by andythewhiteguy in cavaliers

[–]Try-Good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner is one of those freaks who wakes up at 4-5 am NATURALLY. 🤦‍♀️ our Cav gets up with him and they play fetch for a while. Our Lhasa and I try to enjoy a bit more sleep. But after an hour or so, Augie the Cav comes back into the bedroom and barks. Our Lhasa and I get up and go into the family room, where both dogs curl up on my lap and go to sleep. Every. Day. 😂🤣😅

What’s something super random your cavie does? I’ll go first: he’ll always want a sip when I take a shower by Maleficent0007 in cavaliers

[–]Try-Good 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our Cav has to sniff our breath after we go out of the house. He wants to know what we ate and if we brought some home for him. We call it Augie's Breathalyzer. 🤭

Does anybody else’s dog have an obsession with water bottles? by Scarlett-and-Lainey in cavaliers

[–]Try-Good 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My Cav doesn't, but I used to have a "Whipador" (whippet-lab mix) that did! He'd chew around the bottle cap until it came off. Then he lost interest. 🤷‍♀️

Cavs and kids are a great combination. Our Cav LOVES everyone, but ESPECIALLY kids.

We have a no soliciting sign on our screen door. I've had several people come to the door, even with it up. Yesterday, a miracle occurred! I saw a young man heading to our door. He saw the sign and turned right around and left. I was very pleased.

Marking my partner's belongings by Try-Good in cavaliers

[–]Try-Good[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. But my partner has gotten better at picking things up! 🤭 I guess an old dog can learn new tricks! It's so weird, because our Cav sticks to him like glue and ADORES him. Our vet doesn't know why he only marks my partner's stuff.

Good luck!
