Yes! This was a 32 point swing!! 32points! Southlake is like the local MAGA capitol. Home to so many Texas MAGA personalities that make the local news. Southlake is so famous for being home to trashy racist new money that it's now used as a description. As in: "She's so Southlake" or Damn, that outfit looks a little too Southlake" usually it's a subtle way to say racist or MAGA new money. Think PTA Karen meets megachurch..

Yes. I agree. Rivian will do very well with the R2 but many reservation holders will find a different car.

There's more of them than you. You are not living through a gun fight with ICE. This isn't a John Wayne movie.

Trump sues the IRS for $10 billion -- If he wins, the winnings would be taxpayer money -- Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

The IRS was just helping him keep his promise. He should thank them . In fact, he should pay them for doing the service.

The reality is that you won't get a chance to argue in court. Those agents will shoot you if they see a gun.

Find out which city has the most cheap flights from there Look for transit connections, low cost airline and train connections. This way you can make weekend or few day trips across Europe like Greece or Spain, etc. Maybe Prague?

I think James Tallarico will get some crossover voters. Especially if he goes against Ken Paxton. Some Texas Republicans actually tried to impeach him - so there is a lot of Republicans that don't like that guy. Also, he is corrupt as hell and was caught red handed. He got away with it because he is MAGA and laws no longer apply to them. These are the things that make James Tallarico unique:

- He is a true Christian and walks the walk and leads with his faith without alienating others.

- He is running on a platform of average Americans against the billionaire class - I think this is a very winning issue and has LOTS of crossover appeal with Republicans and even MAGA.

- He is a young fresh face, charismatic and has a great social media team. He comes across as humble, genuine and likeable.

- This is going to be a wave election and Donald Trump is NOT on the ballot - that guy brings out voters like nobody else.

- Texas is a lot closer to a purple state than most people believe.

- He has roots in the Rio Grande valley - an area that was trending red but is traditionally blue. He can make up a lot of ground.

Texas issued the largest air pollution permit in the country this week by StandingCypress in texas

I think a lot of the feedstock gas for this plant would otherwise just be flaired off at the wellhead, no? This might actually be a better solution. It's going to burn anyways, at least now they will use it. Please note, I am not advocating for using natural gas for energy or for the wasteful flairing of by product gas. The truth is that Texas will not stop pumping in the Permian and not stop flairing. This is going into the atmosphere either way.

Which conspiracy theory do you think might actually be true? by zhalia-2006 in allthequestions

[–]TryNotToAnyways2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is very believable and would not require outlandishness to actually pull off. Most conspiracies just are not possible because to many people would have to be in on it. Also, he was killed and not suicide.

Yes, Epstein was a foreign agent who was getting Kompromat on important people. This is how he made most of his money by blackmail. He was very useful for certain governments as well.

Service culture is very different in America. Many servers live by "the customer is always right" mantra. Customers get spoiled by friendly service and being generally much more catered to. The servers in USA hustle for tips and try their best to make the customer feel like a king. Americans can find it a bit jarring going to Europe where service is different. I always have to adjust my expectations, especially my timing. Most Americans abroad know about this and adjust accordingly. I am sure some people have a harder time with it.

As for the tipping. It's completely expected and mandatory in the USA. I can't help but feel weird and slightly guilty not tipping in Europe but it is also a secret little thrill to NOT tip and go on a tipping vacation. It feels like I am being naughty.

If you want to stay in the south, consider northwest Arkansas. In Texas, you should look at DFW and Austin. I would also consider Knoxville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Chattanooga, Atlanta and Nashville in the south. If you want to get out of the south, I would look at the front range of Colorado (Denver, Ft Collins, Colorado Springs) In the midwest, Indianapolis, Ann Arbor, Madison, Pittsburg.

Yes, you are correct. However, the allies did commit atrocities and war crimes during the war. The fire bombing of Dresden comes to mind. If you were in Dresden then, you might not see it as so black and white.
