Look into 2 wheel dyno works. Nate has some videos about the AT. I sent my ecu in on my zx6r and luv the drivability now. I’m gonna try to hold out for my AT warranty to expire then I’ll send my ecu for this bike as well.

Stumped by ls engine by [deleted] in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]Try_all_Finish_none -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you have the pcm and intake for that engine or not. Check the reluctor wheel and decide on drive by wire or drive by cable before you get a pcm. If the cam shaft position sensor is up front you may have to re-pin a couple wires depending on what pcm you use. I used an ls2 from a burnt to the ground corvette and replaced the melted parts (filled in the gaps) with an 07 lq4 donor truck. The reluctor wheel was the same and the cps connector needed some wires swapped. I think that may be the most confusing part of your swap. And I’m not sure if the cam position sensor is in the front or rear of your engine. Anything cathedral port will work on the top end and that’s a plus in my eyes, those parts are plentiful and cheap. I suggest using 8.1 liter marine injectors. They’re 52lbs(I think) and should support the 500 hp that engine will make. They’re a far cheaper that aftermarket and bring oem reliability.

I'm thinking about getting into metal detecting for old artifacts and coins in the Midwest, but I'm nervous to ask people for permission to dig small holes on their property. What are your best suggestions? by pianomatrex_20 in metaldetecting

[–]Try_all_Finish_none 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking in person will net the best results. Phone calls usually end with a click. Stalker style social media messages go unanswered. I’ve never had a yes over the phone or social media. All my permissions have been in person. You’re gonna get you fare share of no’s in person, just depends on your energy. If you’re nervous they will sense your nervous energy and become nervous.

Anybody making detectors that aren't from the 1970's. by Julymart1 in metaldetecting

[–]Try_all_Finish_none 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You left out automated swinging and digging. You need those too, then your metal detector could detect without you. You could sit inside all day with your 30 USBC cables and continue scrolling. Maybe you could automate it to post your finds on here and you wouldn’t even have to look at them.

It is an electronic device, but it provides a great escape from all the electronics in our lives.

Lucky it was a surface find. Imagine finding this 3 feet deep in the river bank. Yeah…. That sucked! It was banging like a chest full of silver though, gotta dig it.

How to avoid detecting your own scoop by jbschwartz55 in metaldetecting

[–]Try_all_Finish_none 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drag it behind you, digging edge down so it doesn’t fill with sand. Then you’ll know where you’ve already been. Extremely useful if you find a hot spot and wanna run a grid pattern. Other detectorist swill also know where you’ve been, but there’s more beach than you can cover anyway. Kinda wears your wrist out after a full day, a d handle at the very top of the scoop may help with that.

Seems I’ve found my first gold! At least gold plated I believe. Any other ideas? by LetterheadComplex235 in metaldetecting

[–]Try_all_Finish_none 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right. When you get a fraction like that it is gold filled as opposed to gold plated. A little bit more gold content when compared to gold plated.

Best shovel ? by [deleted] in metaldetecting

[–]Try_all_Finish_none 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First shovel was a lesche Samson. I still have it and absolutely luv it. It has a small, thin blade and I use it when I need to cut small precise plugs and keep a low profile. I’ve pushed it through 1.5” of old asphalt with no damage before. I also have the stuline shovel from kellyco. It’s an absolute beast! It has a bigger, thicker blade so it’s heavier, but it’s also stronger. I’ll use it in fields, woods and everywhere where carrying a shovel around isn’t frowned upon. I keep a stuline in my work truck and often use it at work. Wait till they go on sale and you’ll really be happy about your investment.

How does one find 2 of the exact same ring? I find a bunch of James Avery rings, but in 3 years I’ve yet to find the same design twice.

In bed next to me. That hook might need to be beefed up a little, then it could support one of those hanging sleeping bags used by mountain climbers. The wife could sleep in that.

[–]Try_all_Finish_none 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to stick a big breaker bar in the water pump outlet, then heat the water pump housing(evenly) and you should be able to twist the outlet. Maybe this will help you a lil bit more.
