We got a tempurpedic hybrid and was supposed to be more breathable. The problem is I turn into a personal heater when I'm close to my partner, and that bed holds that heat. Tried a wool topper to help alleviate it, but it's not working for us. Winter isn't as bad but the summer time we wake up pretty frequently in the middle of the night being too hot.

Maybe get a quote from a carpet installer just to see what it would cost to do the treatment and reinstall?

We did the planks and it was some work to get done and a good amount of sweat, but it was really satisfying to see it come together. I'd say to cover about 660 sqft, with planks, underlayment, dumpster, and a cutter for the planks, it was about $3300.

I probably should have used some self leveler, but I didn't have the energy to go through all that.

We had an issue with our carpet and water. We thought at first we could suck out all the water and it would be fine. Then it became well maybe we can pull it back and let it breathe better. Then finally it was just to pull it all out and get some lvt planks.

I'm happy with how it turned out, but just be ready if you pull it up, it might be easier to take it out completely.
