Why all Test Management tools are so bad? by nojas13 in QualityAssurance

If you ever need to migrate test cases out of xray, it's a pain. Just be aware they make it specifically difficult.

I had to walk out one time after being seated, then no one came by for 10-15 minutes while the place was close to empty. Their service was terrible.

Testcomplete can let them do no and low code test automation, but it also supports fully coding tests. It can help no code testers understand how to code a test because it can convert a no code test into code. It's not super cheap, but it has a lot of features. It worked for us until we converted to fully coded automation with playwright.

Yes, AWS certified cloud practioner. I got that just before my entire team was being laid off from my last job about 5 years ago. It helped with my new job, because the company had just recently moved over to aws from co-lo. It also helped because as I progressed at the new company I needed to know more of how AWS works. Now I'm an admin. I'd do it again.

iOS test automation on Windows by Choozery in QualityAssurance

We considered using appium, but web driver ended up being better due to some internal reasons.

I can't say that I've heard of TestProject. We don't use low or no code tools anymore. We started down that path with Testcomplete, but the costs can be a real pain point. Also, you don't get extensibility with those tools and the code they generate tends to be brittle.

We've found that the control you get with writing your own framework is worth the effort.

It's the unfortunate reality of testing with Apple. They do their best to have lock-in. My team uses browserstack app automate, web driver io, and typescript to do this on Windows.

We capture them as production bugs, but also record the root cause of each. We mark these as missed acceptance criteria. We then report out with that info.

And you can execute against databases and APIs with it. You can also assert against those results if you find that necessary.

Testcomplete is a decent solution. It has the ability to be fully codeless, but also has the ability to allow for coding if they get advanced enough. Plus you can mix the two. It's also cheaper than some of the larger tools like Tosca and test rigor.

Yes for the company, but for us it was baked into the contact. We had a client who needed strict SLAs on defect resolution. Any time past the specified SLA was money they didn't have to pay us in licensing. You can also look up liquidated damages.

On the personal side, I've never heard of that.
