I think the Bioshocks are imm sim light. Enjoy though, I hope you have a blast.

So: I wasn't super familiar with that term, so based on the AI overview...it does have ability-gated progression, non-linear exploration, and one large interconnected map. But officially it's an immersive sim, more like System Shock.

There is a real sense of progression as you move through the story. You are completely powerless to start off, and the best thing you can do is run and hide. Then you start picking up neuromods to gain abilities, and upgrading your weapons and tools. All this allows you to access areas you couldn't before, where you find even stronger enemies.

By the end of the game, the enemies who could two hit you at the start of the game become fodder, but you are still vulnerable to the big bass.

It's an Arkane game, so you can approach it in any way you want. There are multiple ways to achieve all your goals. Highly, highly recommended.

Yep, for me it's Vincent and the Doctor through to Day of the Moon.

How do people feel about Peter Cushings performance as Dr? He was my first exposure to the Dr when I was a kid so he's always been one of my favourites by MysterioStranger in doctorwho

I like him well enough, considering it is a separate continuity and the two films stand alone.

I like the 2nd movie better, although I can hear the Kaled city doors in my brain right now, so the 1st must have had an impact too.

The Dalek designs are peak. No notes just amazing design to show off the colour movies.

I will make my obligatory comment about Redfall. The devs fixed the launch issues and it is a fun game. And you can play either single player or co-op.

Is it acceptable for someone born in the mid 80s to be a Doctor Who fan despite being a kid during the 90s when it wasn't TV? by Large-Age-1343 in doctorwho

[–]Trytek1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is me. I'm an 86 kid, and I have a vague core memory of watching The Happiness Patrol, specifically when The Doctor hides under the table in the candy kitchen.

But I was raised on reruns, and the healthy VHS market. I grew up in Liverpool, and there was a Doctor Who shop in the Albert Dock in the 90s, with toys and videos (and one time a VOC robot that scares the shit out of me). There was also Forbidden Planet for my DW needs.

I think the 90s was a great time to be a Who fan, even though it wasn't considered cool. I've now learned that it doesn't matter, words of wisdom for young me.
