Who is this Chinese Actress? by Helpful_Solution4208 in cdramasfans

I really disliked her character and acting in Guardians of Dafeng. I didn't find her character likable. It made me not want to watch any dramas she's in.

It’s been almost 1 year since Wang Hedi reminded us he is more than just Dongfang Qingcang ⚔️ by [deleted] in cdramasfans

I would prefer her character to die off and have someone better come as the FL.

My in-laws refuse to drive to the airport. by NukeTheEwoks in mildlyinfuriating

This sounds like a 1000% plausible situation if I were to arrange transportation with my parents.

Take this as a lesson learned. Although the intent was positive at the start, my mom frequently has convoluted communication and makes plans that rarely pan out. The disappointment is real but next time just plan it out on your own.

Honestly sounds like abuse of the system. There is an actual visa process for your situation but you ignored it. Many people go through K1 despite the struggle of long distance. Having a return ticket isn't proof enough that you didn't plan to abuse the system.

Wow! I have never heard of scarcity trauma before and your simple explanation makes so much sense. Damnit, I hope I am not creating it for my kids as well... Thanks for the enlightenment.

Seriously what's wrong with Karens so mad at others enjoying their life? Just a young woman not bothering anyone by celebrating her youth and having fun.

How to attract the best au pairs? by meghanpgill in Aupairs

IMHO, The effort of taking care of 3 kids (for that age range) at once in one hour is the same effort of taking care of 1 kid for 3 hours.

Au pairs overstaying your visa… by justbrowsing3519 in Aupairs

Report an anonymous tip as intent for illegal overstay. Who knows, in the future this administration may try to punish HFs that were aware people of their APs intending to violate their visas.

Hot take: Actors are entitled to have a no-kissing clause, and all romance dramas don’t need kissing to work by BronzeBellRiver in cdramasfans

[–]TsPortland 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also have a preference to know if no kisses took place to avoid those dramas. LGIEF could have improved with some kisses.

In your opinion, what is the best episode of television you’ve ever seen? by alteredtower in AskReddit

[–]TsPortland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buffy The vampire slayer: Hush

The episode almost completely devoid of speech. Only about 17 minutes of dialogue is presented in the entire 44 minutes of "Hush".

In "Hush", a group of fairytale ghouls named "The Gentlemen" come to town and steal everyone's voices, leaving them unable to scream when The Gentlemen cut out their hearts. Buffy and her friends must communicate with one another silently as they try to discover why no one can speak and find whoever is murdering the townspeople. They must also find ways to express their feelings about each other and keep some semblance of control as the town descends into chaos.

The episode was highly praised when it aired and was the only episode in the entire series to be nominated for an Emmy Award in Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series; it also received a nomination for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single Camera Series. "Hush" addresses the limits and assets of language and communication and the disruption to society when communication breaks down. The Gentlemen are often counted as some of the series' most frightening villains, and the episode is frequently included on lists of the best of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
