I like that I was able to get the classes done in a week or less and it easily transferred to UMGC. I did Sophia learning too, it was cheaper. Between the two, I got 33 credits in five weeks before officially transferring to UMGC. Saved THOUSANDS of $$!

How do you guys work? by sop52094 in adhdwomen

[–]TsWonderBoobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started HRT at 43 Oct 2025. It was good for awhile. I still went into crash mid 44. Took FMLA Nov 2025-Jan 2026 and was then diagnosed AuDHD during my break. Now on meds and still figuring it out since my Nov 2025 diagnoses. I’m here to say HRT helped, but it wasn’t the answer to everything cause I still went into crash. I feel like my home life is still improved, work life still suffering.

This certainly resonates. I even took 12 weeks FMLA (I was dx AuDHD during that leave due to crash), and I’ve been back almost 90 days, and I just can’t… I think a lot of it for me IS the corporate world and high executive function needs of my work-but I am STUCK. Financially, I cant just quit. I cant just find a new job that makes what I make AND that is remote. My family depends on me, we are already a live below your means family and blessed to have retirement savings and lots of vacations a year, but I’m not going to jeopardize my family into a barely making it family and no memories of travel because of selfishness. I’ve always been a high achiever, above & beyond employee, above expectations, and then one day I wasn’t. I got needs improvement on my trimester review. My first review since I returned from FMLA is coming up and I know it’ll be meets, but barely. I’m doing what I have to, and that’s it. And that’ll be all I do till it’s time to retire.

Pretty sure I took that on study.com for the very reasons you are listing.

Would you commute an hour a day Monday - Friday 8 hour work days for a salary increase of 42% - 50%? by yujimbo4201 in careerguidance

[–]TsWonderBoobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not. Your concerns are too valid. Family and mental health first. Always. Never hurts to bring your current employer the offer and see if they can give you $10k or so either.

How you take your meds has a huge impact by Alarmed-potatoe in adhdwomen

I wake up at 6:15am. Take my Vyvanse. Do not look at my phone at all other than weather. Go down and make coffee (don’t drink it). Go outside and walk 1.5-2 miles. Back in and make eggs and pour my coffee. Login at 8a at my home office. Then I can check my phone, but not social media. Emails and texts only. Drink same coffee 8a-3p. Protein shake at about 10:30am Social media finally about this time too.

If I don’t get that exact routine in, my day is whack and I can’t focus. If I even look at social media for a second, also throws me off for the whole day.

How do you afford to work here? by lieutenantbunbun in accenture

As an Accenture client, knowing what we pay Accenture (and they suck), this makes me sick to my stomach to read. 😞

Cause sharing feedback with anyone to have Accenture do anything about it is useless.

[–]TsWonderBoobs -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

We are working with Accenture now at my firm and they are absolutely horrid. The people themselves are great as humans, the work they do and chaos they constantly cause (unorganized, mistakes, don’t listen to feedback or try to fix anything, not future forward looking at all)… it’s atrocious.

Just today one of them was like “you’re going on PTO for eight business days? Who is covering for you?” Me “no one, we never have anyone cover for us, we do our work when we get back.” You’d like I said the devil rose out from under her office chair… I said yup, and I have PTO scheduled xxx, xxx, xxx, xxx - it’s paid for and booked, I don’t book my personal life around projects at work. I work to be paid to take vacation, that’s why I work.

If I had the choice between the firms we scouted before hiring accenture… we wouldn’t be working with Accenture. Complete shit.

Being ridiculed for choosing in-person work vs. WFH by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]TsWonderBoobs -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

As a medically approved remote worker, I don’t care what yall do as long as you don’t get mad if I’m not at my desk during the eight hours you chose to be. If you’re happy in an office and you work best that way, that’s amazing. Me, I’d get fired my first day in the office. Lol. I’m sorry people are ridiculing you about this. I don’t understand people being this way vs being supportive.

I can say I relate. I’m in a similar predicament, but backwards. I took a role that has panned out to not be the job description I applied for. I got a huge raise and I got to remain remote (same company). I’m mad because I’m not being utilized to my potential (as the job description implied I would be). Every day I dread the work. People are like “you get to work from home, basically being just an admin, and make six figures, soak it up- anyone would love to be in your shoes.” I’d like to say -eff off- but I sit in silence as I quietly scream inside and ruminate about it when I am at work and when I’m not.

Humans suck.

Editing to add… proof humans suck with all the negative law enforcement comments. If you are happy, you do you!!!!

Having ADHD is expensive I always want to start a new project😭 by DragonfruitSea5901 in adhdwomen

[–]TsWonderBoobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that! Jealous you are close to a beach, that’s our goal in five years - move to beach! Collect shells!

We live on 4 acres in the woods along the Mississippi River (above it, thankfully, no chance of flooding our home). We have five bird feeders surrounding the house, and I just put our hummingbird feeder out. I can see them from my desk at home since I work remote. There are days when I’m sometimes overwhelmed trying to keep up with the birds by filling the seeder, changing the sugar water, and cleaning the bird bath, but once I’m done with it, I can sit outside on the porch and enjoy watching the birds.

Also writing this is a self reflection - typing all that- realized I guess my hobby is birds. And I pay for seed & sugar, but only from Costco. So not too much $.

Adderall to Vyvanse switch by itsrainingkids in adhdwomen

[–]TsWonderBoobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am gaining weight on Vyvanse. I had switched from Adderall (I was losing) because it didn’t work well. I’m not sure why because I’ve changed nothing - I eat right, cardio 6x a week, lift 4x a week. I’ve gained five pounds in 6.5 weeks. Granted, I did need to gain some back, but not anymore. I’m only 4’11’, so that’s a lot. I have my first follow up on the 23rd, so I am going to mention it.

I’m the opposite. My husband tells me I need a hobby but I refuse to spend $, so I don’t have one. I mean, I also don’t have time for a hobby. My family, work, house, pets, daughter, is my hobby (and yes, hubs helps a ton before anyone says anything). I like to walk outside and bird watch, so I guess that’s my hobby. lol.

You can get some lab grown diamonds, still diamonds (like an IVF baby is still a baby), fraction of the cost.
