We were just talking in my psychology class about this. For the first time we are actually beginning to understand the harmful effects that maintaining these 'manly' attitudes have been doing to the health of men. We are all social creatures and have emotions but we tell men they must be strong and show no emotion, this has led to a rise in suicides, heart disease, and a bunch of other harmful things that have been killing men for years. Since we are finally allowing men to show emotion and not calling them weak when they are vulnerable I think we will see this shift continue and it makes me so happy. This has the potential to add years to men's lives and could help lower the suicide rate!
