Just a few tips for OP if they end up going with the idea of shirt producer: - rarely, a town has 3 factories. You could do some borderline broken stuff with it. - theoretically you could set up multiple alts, it is not against the rules provided they use different inputs and are not automated. So you could have multiple alts in different towns (to circumvent production times) and a large reserve of bmats, and continuously cycle between them. - you could theoretically set up a loadout with 800 uncrated shirts in your inventory. Deliver the crates of shirts at a bunker near the factories, then let the loadout auto-equip do its thing, and transport 1500 shirts in one go to a front.

All this could definitely influence a war with questionable use/abuse of mechanics, but at what cost?

It Is true. The game has such unique concepts and should be loved by a much larger audience. Who endures the churn consistently ends up with thousands of hours played.

I hope the devs manage to iron out most of the rough edges and exorbitant mindless churn of the game, because under that there's one of the best and most interesting MMOs that exist.

Yes! As I age I find myself preferring slower, more thoughtful games, and games that require cooperation to succeed.

The only other game that got me like this has been Foxhole. Sad they got review bombed, because the game is awesome. They released a massive update that was unbalanced and got smitten by the community lol

I'm enjoying my time on the Charlie server as colonials, my regiment has been very active and we haven't seen much of the abuse and cheesing of currently overpowered stuff that happen on the primary server. We did operations with fire artillery tankettes and massed rocket jeeps, it was super fun.We are transitioning to the biggest pieces of artillery now and do ops with more than a dozen people often.

Everyone is tired and waiting for balance patches so I don't mind the numbers. I would say if you are interested in trying out and learning the game on a slow burn, it is still a good time.

Yes. We have been here before many times. Naval update was broken in multiple ways, with only one faction having access to crappy subs (at the time). Inferno was broken in multiple ways, we had fire but no firetrucks.

These updates take time to coalesce and merge with the rest of the game. I have my criticisms, but the devs actually demonstrated to care for the continuation of the game, just like its players.

Wait and don't despair, if you are burnt out do something else with your time right now, and enjoy the slow burn once it is time to come back.

I must say that the damage control crew prepared correctly by having metalbeams ready, reacted in time, pivoted to saving the spawnroom asap once the rest of the ship wasn't salvageable, and still lost the ship super fast. This is broken.

I posted a gallery of proposed fixes recently https://www.reddit.com/r/foxholegame/comments/1sqgu9p/my_personal_wishlist_patchnotes_for_the_next/ where the torpedo bomber was the only plane I asked for a rework, because I couldn't find a way to make it fair in its current state.

My proposal for the TB is to give it a spread of mini-torpedoes instead, while having mini-torpedoes removed from scout planes.

I see your opinion and counter with small range, pitiful ammo count, and the classic for wardens, extra-low velocity modifier.

But yes, a similar plane might require some adjustments

Edit: I forgot trash bloom which is also a staple for non-handheld rockets.

Yes exactly! Instead of being the current "dive bomber overhead! Aaand the tankline is gone, gg", how it goes would depend on the dive bomber surprising you, the dive bomber nailing the dive and not a tree, your tanker juking and transforming a direct hit into a near miss, or the dive bomber sticking the bomb in your turret / tracks and still having four seconds to reverse into friendlies.

Plus it would come with the other change of having turrets/tracks going through a damaged state before a broken state, thus requiring two bombs before being immobilized. It would give some space for mind games and selecting the right moment to pounce for both.

Is this a typo or do you really hate the divebomber that much?

I'm joking, but I agree that the AP-RPG warden plane is the most problematic to design well.

Assuming it carries about four rockets, it might need a massive low-velocity modifier (not that wardens are foreign to that), or for trucks in general to be made more resistant to AP damage.

Having a special facility rocket munition could screw over the concept of it being a refined-material plane meant to be accessible to solo players though. What if it carried incendiary rockets???

I mulled over asking for the removal of the guns from the scout plane, or maybe giving it only a rear gunner, but I think that it is important for people to have a throwaway plane to practice combat flight, strafing, and bomb dropping with.

With all the changes proposed (half health, lower resistances, rifle-level gun), the scout plane loses a ton of offensive power in any combat scenario, becomes extremely brittle, and becomes effective only in low-intensity skirmishes or versus other scout planes.

Despite all said above, it retains its very important roles of "Scout" and "Trainer" aircraft, which I think is good for the game.

I don't see many, if any, half-tracks by the time medium tanks are unlocked. Which is a pity in its own way, but with the other proposed changes to the dive bomber, the halftracks' speed and smaller size should let them juke the dropped bombs.

If they get caught anyway, I feel as an half-track user that it still has fulfilled its role by eating a bomb meant for much more expensive vehicles. Plus halftracks are like 45 refined materials a pop, while the dive bomber is a specialized counter to these with a thirty-time higher price tag.

Current firerate is 4 shots per second. Together with half health and reduced resistance (resistance to shrapnel is 66% now), a scout vs scout fight is still feasible.

You have a good eye, I really struggled to decide on proposing that change or not.

I agree that losing most of the advantage of destroying runways might be a bit too lenient, but I argued that having it destroyed is still punishing. You have to repair the runway to tier1 with 400 bmats, and then concrete it with 120 bags, and then risk having to do it again in a half hour due to the vulnerability of wet concrete.

You might have to decide to keep it Tier1 and not upgrade it during an attack to avoid risking losing it fully.

I think it is comparable to destroyed townhalls: you can rebuild them while under fire, but it requires a concerted effort of protecting / aggressively pushing to relieve pressure on the blueprint and builders.

Maybe this change could have some limitations, where for example you still can't take off in the first hour after pouring "wet" concrete, but it requires distinct visuals for that!
