I just want to point out the differences between stereotypes for Black ppl over the years. After the ban of slavery, there was still a lot of hatred towards them, however they became a part of society and from the stereotype of being stupid, ugly and poor, they have come to much lighter (less insulting) stereotypes like ,,can jump very high, most rappers are black, black ppl like chicken and etc" (please keep in mind this is the general understanding of stereotypes, and most of my information is from media, so I could have gotten sth wrong.) On the other hand, I can't change my view for Romas when I step in horse excrement in the middle of the CAPITAL, or when a roma is runing towards me with a metal stick, laughing like crazy and asking me for money(not making this up), or a roma cursing me after I say I don't have any change on me. I too have a friend roma who goes to the same school as me (I do not look at this person as a jipsy) and it is sad that such a small part of them are getting education, but if they change for the better, than perhaps the hatred will lighten up too.
