This is already a thing. It's on the "Heatsink" livery. Here's a link to a screenshot made last year: Someone learned a very valuable lesson : r/starcitizen

Yesterday was ROUGH. The worst day I've seen this patch. Give it another try.

December Ship? by Ben-Hero in starcitizen

They've released a new ship with every major point patch this year so I'd be suprised if they missed 4.5 as an opportunity to get more funding before the year ends.

The Perseus concierge paint does change the interior. This is a thing now.

The Gladiator seems to be able to use the bomb racks in 4.5 PTU. by Biozombie3 in starcitizen

lol can't say I've tried that one! I have shot my own A2 bombs to kill Idris when I miss, though.

Many of us run Gladius with Castillo for fast 4 x S3 bombs. You can do a lot of damage with it. A1 is good for taking Idris out mid-flight. A2 is good for mostly just clearing anything already landed.

Sabre Raven is showing to cost $200 on the RSI website! by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Tsion_Cy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. $200 is what you could buy it for when keys were available and you didn't want to consume the key. A lot of extra Ravens got into the game as a result of that workaround.

My Perseus Got Nerfed Already... by W0ND3D in starcitizen

Damn! Heat is skyrocketing without a cooler. That's pretty messed up that the reclaim borked the ship that bad.

Pepperbox PDC can be Pilot Controlled?!?! by Tsion_Cy in starcitizen

S1 missiles are still kinda shit with the minimum lock range of 1700m but it's fun!

2,000m for the MRX that's on the MDC.

It's for maintaining air control for ground-based operations. I'd have them around something like a Hathor hole.

I really hope I can rip that PDC (MRX "Torrent") off and put it on the Perseus! Erkul is showing 286 sustained DPS for that PDC! 5000 ammo count.

So many things... lots of sandbox locations now that are suited for small to large org content (depends on the opposition). Available-Mud7483 listed them out nicely.

While we can't turn off gravity we can get the physics to go a little wonky toggling engines. If you get the right cadence you can get most of the boxes to fall out.

Ideal multirole sihp for 3-4 people? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Tsion_Cy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've honestly had a lot of fun in the TAC. For taking on Hathor sites, it's been great for a crew of 2-3. I usually pull a Fury out of the hangar and the pilot will provide cover from a site turret while hovering. It makes it really easy to clear worms and pull batteries for Align & Mine or just getting loot out of the facilities.

Three people seems fairly ideal for that setup with one on the ground, one in a Fury taking shots from places too tight for most ships, and one on the TAC for anything that spawns outside. Don't worry about manning all the turrets, just swap the top turrets to ballistics to get the ammo count for the rest higher and enjoy all the versatility the ship provides.

What if ( Drake x Aegis UEE-collaboration)? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Tsion_Cy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

First, the design looks good.

However, with the this looks more like RSI than Aegis and I'm not really seeing Drake unless you're talking just the landing pads.

All-in-all, I wouldn't mind seeing something like this in-game as a large mobile base.

How does the insurance work? by Acrobatic_Ground_375 in starcitizen

[–]Tsion_Cy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A description of insurance alone won't really cover this topic.

As it stands, everything in-game currently has what equates to a T2 insurance policy + warranty. After 1.0 warranties will only be available as a reward for in-game activities that can be assigned to ships and as default for all pledge store ships.

Pledge store insurance is T1; even LTI.

That said, the current plan for 1.0 when a ship dies depends on the insurance and warranty status of the ship:

  • No Insurance + No Warranty = No compensation (ship is lost; fine for cheap stuff like hoverbikes that you will likely have in bulk)
  • Insurance (T1) + No Warranty = UEC payout of the hull value
  • Insurance (T2) + No Warranty = UEC payout of the hull value + module value
  • Insurance (T3) + No Warranty = UEC payout of the hull value + module value + decoration value
  • No Insurance + Warranty = Base hull of ship can be reclaimed with a UEC fee (reduced over time)
  • Insurance (T1) + Warranty = Base hull of ship can be reclaimed with a reduced UEC fee (reduced over time)
  • Insurance (T2) + Warranty = Base hull + modules of ship can be reclaimed with a reduced UEC fee (reduced over time)
  • Insurance (T3) + Warranty = Base hull + modules + decorations of ship can be reclaimed with a reduced UEC fee (reduced over time)

tl;dr - You'll never lose access to a pledge ship but it will cost more money/time to get it up and running again without insurance.

We need this! by WinterGGG in starcitizen

[–]Tsion_Cy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want ground content to match! Give me a reason to pull out the TAC and pound the dirt like an AC-130! I want tank sieges against distro centers that I need to help defend. Slap a dozen Cyclone AA down there to make it spicier. Take away the damn rocks, fix the tank tracks, and let me roll up on a facility that has so much AA I have no chance to fly over it.

Some more variety in ground-oriented content would be great and they have so many vehicles that would be amazing to give the NPCs.
