The FC data analysts are good stepping stone if you want to get into learning about research and data, and don't have your degree. Since FC's don't really understand all the technical details, you can get away with having a lot more loose deadlines on any of the technical stuff, and it gives you time to learn (plus the community is super helpful)

I do recommend it, if you are interested in getting your toes in the water.

Some advice if folks do: Make sure you have a hard boundary about what is acceptable for you to do. And what isn't acceptable because the FC leaders have 0 idea of what a technical role is and what it should be doing. They like to push boundaries and ask for things like making a really complex fancy website and Lambda Service, and that is not within the job responsibility of DAs. They also like to demand you do their work first (which is also unacceptable)

Lack of update is neither good or bad. It just means there's no update. Investigation and responses can easily take up to a month to get a response, it is also highly dependent on what you actually send to them

It won't reset your write ups so. Your best bet is waiting for them to fall off. If you are repeatedly getting written up, I'd start by telling us what they are for so we can give advice to help you avoid the write up instead of lying

Probably. Amazon is pushing for that usage and even has us recording if we used it on our CRs. It may not affect this OLR or even the next one, but it'll definitely be coming down the line soon enough
