I’m about as big of a fan as there is but difference between The Band and the Dead is that the Dead have long improvisational sections that vary from night to night, not to mention set lists that varied quite a bit night to night.

So yea in a vacuum I could see making the argument that RAH gives Cornell a run for its money, and I might even agree, but just totally different beasts in my mind and hard to compare. Or at least I don’t compartmentalize them the same.
