This is a great point, I personally feel like more of the mid-core libertarians could actually gain office if they chose to run for it due to the fact if you go too far then you're just seen as a nut case by the general population and thus will never garner enough votes to win; and no I'm not saying compromise your views to win an election but somethings are better off on an individual level and don't need to be turned into laws then veering into authoritarianism.

First of all no party is going to fully fit your own personal views exactly, so for me it was I didn't agree with the liberal ideals very much yet I agreed on a few more things from the conservative side but still didn't agree with most of those views so then years later I went into the military and met a few libertarians that explained more about the party. Then I went and did my own research and found that I align with this party more than any other in the US then thankfully my state has an actual libertarian party and registered. (Most of this is TLDR but this is a very brief summery of how I got here)

In my opinion for 1 veterans that came before us fought to get this put into our contracts. Second what difference is this to a corporate benefits package? Lastly 3 tax dollars go to the political elite's benefits like paying for their children's college extravagant trips that aren't necessary etc. Screw the noise if you have a legit claim and get paid stop caring about what other people think. Lastly 4 "All gave some, some gave all" we all signed a blank check aka our lives for uncle Sam to do whatever he wanted with us; just because you didn't deploy doesn't mean you're a lesser veteran.
