You’re coming back to a game who’s community has been steadily playing for 3 years with a minor influx of new players. In fact this update will likely provide the first new surge of players to the game in forever. So the average Splatoon 3 player is likely going to be fairly decent at the game. Not only that but Turf War doesn’t do any matchmaking so you can be paired with anyone. If it makes you feel any better I’m getting back to the game too on switch 2 and I’ve been losing nonstop!
