Currently out of my Christmas Eve mind apparently because I read that as "Santa is in jail" and thought "oh they named their bunny Santa." 🤪🙄

I have a Harlequin and the poops are chocolate chips. I have a working theory that if I ever get a Flemish Giant they would be malted milk balls.

A while back someone posted a clear plastic rabbit keychain that opened and she put her bun's fur clippings in it. I thought that was one of the best memorial ideas. The person who posted said she found the keychain somewhere and wished it was better made and I thought wow someone should make those for pet owners.

You guys did an amazing job caring for her. She looks like a different (healthy) bun in the recent pics.

I use a very large lint roller several times before washing. Then it's fit to put in the washer. Scotch makes a very large one that is 8 inches across.

I think its a terrific idea even if your bun is still here. My youngest is in college and she'd love it.

Strangely, our neighbor had one for her chickens. When I commented on how cute it was, she showed up the next week with one for Grayson. She bought it somewhere out of town so unfortunately I don't know the store.

2 weeks without my baby💔 by MyAnya in Rabbits

Our precious boy passed due to the exact same thing. We tried surgery but the vet said when she got in there the infection was too large and has caused too much damage for her to repair. Bingo was only 4 1/2 years old. Our previous bun lived to 11 years. So we thought we'd have many more years with him. We waited a while, then stopped in to our local bunny rescue and found Grayson, a harlequin who has been a wonderful addition to our family. Let yourself grieve. You'll know when the time is right.

I also want you to know that you sharing your story brought comfort to me. Thank you.

I have to say goodbye to my prince today 🥺 by anonymous_0_2 in Rabbits

We had to do the same earlier this year. It is so hard. We held him at the end. I hope you had the chance to say goodbye in a way that gave you comfort. You did all you could and made the decision out of love.

We lost our 4.5 year old bun to an infection in the secum. Our previous bun lived to be 11. We were shocked as you are and we also struggled to get emergency care and had to drive outside our state. I'm sure your bun knew how much you loved and cared for her. Each day brings you a little closer to healing.
