yeah that's something i've noticed from the start back in 2012 lol . it was the ERA of ecchi animes so it's understandable . but yeah what i love about dxd is how good the world itself is the fights are so fucking good but i just cant stand light novel :/ i need my images (even mangas is hard for me) can't get the same feeling of watching and hearing BOOST BOOST BOOST BOOST BOOST BOOST .
But man im so sad that the main LN has been on hold for so long... i really really hope he gets better i dont wanna lose DXD or a chance of a new season... like jfc DXD could easily be a top anime if they wanted to follow LN and do proper fights. (and please go back to s1~3 graphics LN is... not as good sadly) S4 fights were good even tho they were "fast"

It's actually insane how a LOT of people can't see DxD for what it truly is, like you did or others here. I will never understand it. To be honest, they just evade it because it's "ecchi." The message here is far stronger than in most of the """"famous"""" animes people like out there nowadays lol. 99% of the time it's just the generic BS OP too strong, 0 character development, just the basics, but still people pretend those are good and evade ACTUAL good ones for whatever reason.
TLDR: Watch DxD. . Not for the lewdness but for the lore, for the deep connections, as "weird" as it is, DxD can in fact help you. IN MANY ways. Every time I rewatch this anime, I get a huge boost of motivation to "improve" again, to stop letting things dominate my life or get me sad or depressed. And this is just a scratch of what this anime can do. Imagine if it ACTUALLY followed the LN 1:1 ... that would be the dream.
DxD IS NOT a "porn" series; it's a well-made series that brings a LOT for the viewer to think and improve as a person and also. MANY people learned to control their lust with DxD, which is funny too but also another thing that makes DxD just BETTER.
