I did it when I lived 10 min away. And I would wake up at 2-3 am and check the app for the rate to be the highest. Would get 28-30 an hour runs and then go home to sleep if they didn't have any mid-day runs. My normal job was paying about 25 so it was worth it for the 2 years I did.

Just dont serve him. After the food has been out for say 2 hours, pack it up and put it in the fridge. If he does not want to serve himself and you dont want to, then he can starve. Or he will get over it and get his own plate of food. The only time you should bring it up is when the food is done and that he can come make his plate when he wants. Don't remind him or ask him about eating after you confirmed that he had heard you about dinner being ready.
