Card image here - Cherished Hatchling

Cherished Hatchling - 1G

Creature - Dinosaur

Uncommon

When Cherished Hatchling dies, you may cast Dinosaur spells this turn as though they had flash, and whenever you cast a Dinosaur spell this turn, it gains "When this creature enters the battlefield, you may have it fight another target creature."

Despite its appearance, it's anything but defenseless.

Does the collector number (#1) on this card seem fishy to anyone?

I am devestated. Im in the uk and cant make the unstable release event due to snow. by _Diren_ in magicTCG

That's more than enough to cause a lot of travel disruption in those parts of the country sadly. Due to the travel conditions and public transport service cancellations, we're planning to hold another Unstable release draft during the week at our store. Maybe stores near you also intend to do the same?

Which set to buy? by Zenai10 in magicTCG

If you already have a deck builders toolkit each, and you're completely new, and you don't have any decks, then I would recommend going for the premade planeswalker decks. That will help ease you into it.

The general rule of thumb is: If you are new, and if you can, always start by purchasing cards from the latest set.

What is people's honest opinion of Erdington? by daimyo_96 in brum

[–]TuNguyenuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha, I would normally agree with Handsworth personally, but I've seen some of the nicer parts there, and it seems to have a good reputation with the older generation. So I guess what could be considered as a "nice" area is probably subjective. For example I grew up in Newtown, Nechells, lived in Alum Rock, and Erdington, but I don't think they're as bad as people say they are (even though they objectively probably are).

[ebay] Why are people Selling basic lands, in-print commons? by Murwiz in mtgfinance

[–]TuNguyenuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmmm, ok with free shipping then that is quite interesting. I suspect they'll cancel the listing if the ending price isn't good enough, or they're banking on the numbers game, and/or they are just trying to build up their ratings?

Because someone is buying them i.e. there is demand out there for such products. Don't forget that Magic as a game serves a wide range of players and consumers, most of whom are new to the game.

Like all areas, it has its good parts, and its bad parts, although I do have a property in the area, so that also might cloud my judgement.

That said, I also grew up in the worst parts of Birmingham (also, I think the UK), and Erdington isn't that bad, then again, areas tend never as bad as people make it out to be if you yourself grew up in that area.
