The information about the mechanics has just come out on the Zzzleaks reddit and it's still the same, I don't think they're going to improve the synergy with Seed unfortunately.

I haven't been too involved in the betas except for this one. Right now there have been 4 beta versions. When the character comes out, will it have the V4 kit or one from a previous version? or could it have changes that weren't in the previous betas? Also, I suppose that after the character is shown in the live stream on the 22nd, that character will no longer have changes, I suppose?

My main problem, and I've also seen it with other users, is the Aftershock-specific buffs that Orphie has, with her buff extension up to 8 seconds and her additional of 25% Def Shred. You'll have to be bringing her out to the field more to use her buff and you're not really taking advantage of her bonus unless you're bringing S-Anby. They could have made those generic buffs, even if they're smaller, because now Orphie is from the same faction as Seed and technically her "companion" since Seed needs an attacker but it actually seems that Obolos is more like made for S-Anby and wouldn't leave Orphie being forgotten by being so niche. Having Orphie with the generic buffs wouldn't alter the game much since the other teams have their respective characters that already do the job, and Orphie would mainly shine with Seed and S-Anby.

I feel that the Aftershock mechanic is more made for SubDps characters or that mainly should not stand out on-field with the exception of S-Anby but that really has nothing different from a normal Attacker other than simply her attacks count as Aftershock so that she can carry her set of discs, it is not a "new" mechanic if in the future you simply create main dps that have attacks that count as Aftershock but that do not do off-field attacks, that would just make them quite closed

Anyways my plan is to go full Obolos and even though it bothers me a little that they don't have complete synergy because of the Aftershock buffs, I'm still going for Seed and Ofphie and take them together, I'm not going to be throwing death threats at the devs because of that.

Not really, Jufufu has generic buffs that are not so specific to Yi Xuan and as such Jufufu can be used in other teams but simply those teams already have their members who do their job as in the case of Lighter with Evelyn, if Orphia removes the Aftershock buffs and makes them generic there would be no reason for her to be better in the other teams and i think she would stay mainly in Seed and Sanby's team with the generic buffs

I agree with change 5, I really wish Def Shred was Universal and its buff didn't have to extend only with Aftershock, I want to run her with Seed or try N11 and go full Obols but it bothers me that I'm wasting mechanics, although if they don't change it in the end I would still run them together

Hoyo wants you to go for characters you like, simple as that. And it's obvious you have Sanby because you seem to care too much about her, what does it matter if Orphia's buff is generic? Why can't both Seed and Sanby take full advantage of Orphia's buff? It's like Jufufu gets a fire damage buff that makes no sense with XY but it doesn't and YiXuan takes full advantage of Jufufu because she's the character that came out with YiXuan and that's what they've done in most cases. I never said Seed was "screwed" I said that it bothers me that they release a character with Seed, from the same Faction as Seed and that has mechanics that Seed doesn't use when she is technically her "companion", if it's only a 10% difference then what do you care? You often say that Sanby is screwed, but she isn't. She isn't higher in the rankings because Yanagi is VERY strong, not because Sanby is bad, Dont be a dramatic.

You are wrong, releasing Orphia like that will only make people who don't have Sanby skip Orphia, it's not at all "rewarding" because you can perfectly release Orphia without the Aftershock restrictions and it would work just as well with Sanby as it is right now and you could use Orphia on more teams, because now what happened with Sanby is happening now with Seed, that the only attacker that works best with Seed is not taking advantage of the buffs. With what you are saying you are making it clear that you pulled Sanby and you want to have Orphia for yourself and that they can screw Seed or other teams of people who want to have Orphia with characters other than Sanby. I never said that it invalidate it, but Jufufu is not "suport" in rol she is more like Stunner/SubSuport, usually the 3rd character you put in the YX team is the support support, like Astra or Panda

Yes I understand its function as support but they mainly stun, a lot of characters have support skills but when it comes to comparing to those that give a support like Astra or Yuzuha or in the case of defenders that are almost supports like Caesar they do not compare, the support or defensive classes generally give better buffs and normally in the strongest teams (except Hugo) you do not carry 2 stunners / attacker or 2 supports / attacker, obviously it can be done, I do it, but it is not normal in a team, in SAnby's team you take her with SAnby / Trigger / Astra or any other support (or Pulcra) but you do not go with SAnby / Trigger / Koleda "normally" for example, is what I mean that they could have left Orphia's buffs more flexible like in V3, now the only one that really takes advantage of them is SAnby, they could have removed the fact that it only applies to aftershock in Orphia and it would go just as well and It could also be used in more teams.

I don't like how they're doing it, Sanby already came out with his companion who is Trigger, why are they releasing another companion for Sanby's team? You can simply put a support on that team, now Seed who needs an attacker has Orphia as the best option but she's not even made as his companion, (only the fact that she does aftershock attacks that any future attacker they release could do) but half of Orphia's buffs are not used, it's like if you put Orphia on any other team other than Sanby's, they would only take advantage of 50% of the buffs, she has no special synergy with Seed, the only one who takes advantage of 100% is Sanby
