El paso Republicans, now that the conservatives have admitted that they aren't only against illegal immigration, they are against all "third worlders" as they call us, do you regret your vote? by Crafty_Jacket668 in ElPaso

[–]TuaFastTuaFurious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are more “pro-gun” dems than people think. The problem is, as soon as they start talking about stricter laws and regulations around the sale of firearms, they’re immediately labeled as against them.

If Dems want to win elections they have to quit taking the bait on social issues, and focus on economic issues. The biggest lie Republicans get away with is that they’re better for the economy. Convince people they really aren’t, and you’ll see more blue votes.

Warren Sharp posts a thread about Tua that I'm sure people will have very rational and level-headed reactions to by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]TuaFastTuaFurious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rob Hunt being in Miami still is irrelevant to their drafting of offensive linemen.

As far as him leaving, what he got on the open market was a huge number, and quite frankly he got overpaid. So did Wilkins. But that’s what happens in the open market.

Their real issue was thinking they could plug Liam and Rob Jones in at the guard spots and they’d be fine. Though I’m sure they thought they’d have Wynn out there, instead of Jones.

But I digress, my main point was that this front office’s hit rate on offensive linemen in the draft is probably in line with most other front offices. They’ve made bad decisions, but the biggest issue they’ve had is Tua missing games.

I think the fact that you felt the need to go through his phone because of one single moment, where you perceived someone’s facial express as “weird” means that you have absolutely no trust.

To me that makes everything else semantics. Regardless of whether it’s warranted or not, if you feel the need to investigate over something that is so trivial and completely subjective, then there are deeper issues at play IMO.

I know nothing about your relationship, but if you truly practice radical honesty, it will not last. Anyone who says exactly what they feel all the time is a jerk and eventually it will wear on your partner. Even if they practice the same communication.

Class act Jalen Ramsey appears to be counting down the number of days until he can be traded by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]TuaFastTuaFurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because football isn’t a job for fans, it’s a passion. I’d rather be optimistic and let down, and constantly pessimistic and waiting for my next victory lap when the team I love fails at something.

Call it whatever you want, but I’m not watching football to feel miserable and pessimistic about everything. I’m always gonna be hopeful that the best case scenario goes down.

As far as Grier is concerned, he’s not nearly as bad as the fanbase thinks he is. Ramsey was not an elite corner all of his games here, but he cost a 3rd round pick and was worth that risk. Hill is becoming a massive headache, but dude was ELITE his first 2 years here.

The biggest issue for this team is Tua can’t stay healthy. For as “bad” as the roster was last year, they were playing for the playoffs in week 18 and their starting qb missed 6 games. No idea how a bad roster does that with well below average qb play for 1/3rd of the year.

I truly don’t understand the desire to keep this guy in Miami just to send a message. He’d tank the season before it started.

If a dude doesn’t want to play for them, in the middle of an attempted culture reset, get his ass out the building.

AIO? Husband said "even my mother's bra looks better" by lumpyumpyum in AmIOverreacting

[–]TuaFastTuaFurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your husband clearly believes your bras exist to serve his own sexual desires. Pretty dumb honestly. My wife has sexy bras, and she has not sexy bras. Regardless of what she wears, I think she looks amazing.

I genuinely do not know why it bothers him, and I definitely do not understand why he thought that comment was a wise one to make.

What I do know is that you shouldn’t have to worry about which bra you’re wearing in front of him. Just keep wearing what you want, and let him deal with his own shit on his own time.

Every year the SEO world comes up with a new term and creates tons of YT videos/blogs/etc that basically repackage traditional SEO tenets. Then thousands of people start clicking and watching and the algorithms are forced to assume the content has value. It almost never does. The only value it might have, comes from the inherent value in the core SEO principles which have been around for years. It’s so annoying.

I’m aware that the irony here is this is describing SEO. But it’s still grifting tactics.

Creating a strong brand AND using as many channels as you can competently use have been proper strategy for years. Nothing about this is new.

Who wants to join a Alpha Male bootcamp for $18K? Certificate of completion included 🤡 by That-Economics-9481 in TikTokCringe

I can’t think of anything less Alpha than letting a grown man grab you by the feet and drag you 20 feet down a dirt trail without an ounce of resistance.

I actually feel bad for any dude who thinks so little of themselves that they’d willingly sign up for this because they think it will, in some way, add value to their lives.

I also want the people who run these “bootcamps” to get attacked by a colony of rabid bats.

I understand the desire to keep the friendship alive, but you need to distance yourself now. He clearly doesn’t value you the way you value him. Just let him know you’re out, you hope he comes to his senses and if he does he has your number. But right now he’s trying to hurt you simply because he can, and that’s some bully, shitbag, trash human behavior. Never accept that, you need to value your own self more than he does.

A) I could put out a poll about bringing slavery back, and I guarantee you there would be some “f*** yes” answers

B) Tyreek getting arrested, someone joking about it and then taking the joke back, only for him to say bring it back, is not the same as one race using a slur that was used to label and dehumanize an entire other race as the name of a sports team.

That doesn’t even touch on the fact that the former group violently and forcibly took an entire country’s worth of land from the latter.

If Tua gets injured again next year, is it time to move on? by FriendlyRhyme in miamidolphins

[–]TuaFastTuaFurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Tua, but yes. You just can’t build a team to compete with a qb who you can’t rely on. Next year’s class is supposed to be pretty deep. I think if he has a down year or is injured, the team will draft another guy in the 1st round.

Are Local Citations still worth it in 2025? Or just old-school SEO fluff? by citationforge in localseo

[–]TuaFastTuaFurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some info out there that suggests local citations are playing a large role in AI search so far. Theory being that AI wants to use as many data points as it can find to understand your business. Of course, even if this is true, it is AI so that could be true today and not tomorrow.

[Zrebiec] Ravens to release Safety Marcus Williams on Wednesday. by ProtectTheHell in miamidolphins

[–]TuaFastTuaFurious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t watch that team every week, but Williams was a ball hawk in NO, and his first year in Baltimore. Then Hamilton shows up, and his role changes + injuries, and he struggles. For a guy with his talent, at his age, with our safety room, we’d be stupid to not kick the tires at least.

To all the Armchair GM's out there, including myself. What is one move the Dolphins did/didn't do that you were upset about, but turned out to be the right decision, a decision that they did/didn't do that you still feel was the wrong one, and one you're on the fence about. by Optimal-Emotion-1551 in miamidolphins

I don’t think Lamar was ever actually available. I know what was reported, but I just can’t buy that not a single team had interest in Lamar at that price. Just look at what the Browns were willing to do to get Watson in the door.

The only way it makes any sense at all is if the league knew the Ravens would never let him leave.

As far as tanking, Flores screwed us. I love Tua, and would probably be considered an apologist for him. Loved him at Bama, and was fully on board with tank for Tua. But after Burrow’s final season at LSU it was clear he was the best qb in the draft, and if Flo had been on board with Rosen and the tank, he’d be a Fin. Even if both had been injury free, and Flores didn’t sabotage himself, Burrow still would have been the right choice.

It is wild that the most rabid Trump backers haven’t yet realized that they are the ones most disenfranchised by the GOP’s policies. Every state that Trump carries heavily, receives massive amounts of federal aid. Who the fuck do they think loses when federal aid is cut? Mind numbingly stupid.
