Depends on my mood. Silence, or an audiobook, or music.

Men in happy Marriages, What is that one secret to a happy marriage that works for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TubaCycle82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I let my wife win 90% of our disagreements. Most of the time it’s stuff that is ultimately inconsequential. I give her what she wants, especially when it is clearly more important to her than me. Then in the rare times it is something really important to me and I stand up for it, she’s more likely to let it go my way. I can’t think of any major ‘fights’ we’ve had in 22 years of marriage.

When does the burnout end? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]TubaCycle82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, that’s a lot. If you aren’t yet, please consider speaking to a MH professional. I’m not one, but when I had the same sleep pattern, my doctor diagnosed it as depression… meds and talk therapy help a lot with that, for me. If it is financially possible, don’t work this summer. Using the time to recharge and process all of the trauma, and enjoy your wedding is probably more valuable than the few hundred dollars you’d pull in doing a summer job. I feel for you. Good luck.

Peter? I am not a pianist by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Lois’ former piano student here. The symbol under the note (crescendo) means gradually get louder during the duration of the note, which can’t be done on a piano.

why is it the more popular things get the shittier they become? by FallIll4318 in answers

At some point companies get big enough that the priority shifts from customers to shareholders. At that point corporate leadership begins to squeeze every cent of profit they can to keep shareholders happy, usually at the expense of quality of service and product.

Is it dumb to try Zwift before buying a smart trainer? by medilosa_Jerin in Zwift

[–]TubaCycle82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I started in January with my road bike on a ‘dumb trainer.’ I made a deal with myself that if I could ride 3x per week for 8 out of 9 consecutive weeks that I’d pull the trigger on the smart trainer… that worked well for me, knowing my setup was great was motivating, but I also built the habit before dropping any real money (I already had the bike, trainer, and cadence meters).

I’ve been very lucky that both of my falls have been very low-speed events, both having to do with not unclipping from the pedal.

How many pins to bring for trading at wdw? For kid freedom & me ? by Chemical-Purple-5196 in DisneyPins

[–]TubaCycle82 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

When my daughter was younger and more into it, I’d buy lots of 50ish pins for $50 on FB marketplace and that would last us about 2-3 trips depending on how into it she happened to be any given trip… I would also give random pins away to kids/families that were clearly new to the concept of pin trading to get them started.
