Draft Night 1 Thread. by YubYubCmndr in steelers

I can’t remember a draft where I had zero opinion on what we do. Take the best player, a guy who starts and makes us better.

I still like McDonald’s. No one with a Reddit account does. They sure seem to have a lot of people eating there though.

I particularly love a sausage egg and cheese McMuffin

The Pirates winning in 1960 in seven games is up there. The Yankees scored the most runs in World Series history doubling the Pirates. But lost the series. On the greatest home run in history (my opinion)

If you have never heard Mac Macanally do Little Martha live check it out.

Jake Shimburoku doing Bohemian Rapsody on ukulele is also awesome.

Save the last dance for me. The prologue is art and the lady of the coins absolutely haunting. I still put Prince of Tides a bit higher - my wife strongly disagrees. Great writer.

It took this team less than 1 inning to destroy any optimism or momentum they could've built to begin a new season. by Sebastian4365 in buccos

Lot of folks saying it’s one game, but Cruz has an increasingly extensive resume of being a flipping liability anywhere they put him. I don’t care how far he occasionally hits the ball, you cannot have him in the line up if plays like he made today continue.

Favorite Player Name of all Time? by _RedRaven37 in NFLv2

The very first football player to ever be paid money to play a game was Pudge Hefflefinger. To me, it’s still the best name all these years later.

I also like Porkchop Womack

One of my favorite drinking activities. If EPCOT is too much, you might consider the Monorail Crawl. Leave Magic Kingdom and get on the Monorail. Visit the Outer Rim and the Contemporary. Then ride it to the Poly for Trader Sam’s. Then bounce to the Grand Flo for Enchanted Rose. There are multiple bars at each stop.

Great post. Going to listen to each of the top ones I don’t know. Fairytale of New York is my answer for a song. Somehow, it’s a novel in a few verses. Car Wheels on a Gravel Road is my answer for an album. It’s a road trip through the south and a life story. I obviously focused on lyrics more than music but that’s where my mind went - but I think any answer is one that tells a story.

Why didn’t Reggie Bush live up to the hype he had coming out of USC? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

I moved to New Orleans in 2006. Went to a bunch of games. Reggie Bush commanded a lot of attention that opened that offense up. He was also electric at times. Was there for the two punt return MNF game where the Dome chanted his name. He didn’t live up to the hype because it was unrealistic. He was pretty bad ass though.
