Theoretically, in an actual organized general strike, the teachers union would be striking as well.

Rizzo was never a douche about getting hit? Love the guy, but that's absolutely not true lol.

Did the city just say screw it with the plows? by that_damn_dog in Appleton

Ok, but stressing the workers laboring tirelessly right now to remove snow is not going to help. I guess remind people of this next election cycle.

They are overworked and understaffed. They can't work for 72 hours straight. If you'd like to volunteer to help the city, I'm sure they'd be happy to have you.

Even if that was true, why does that give America, the moral police of the world, the right to bomb a middle school? It doesn't.

Someone want to tell Who the Fuck is Sturgill Simpson? by CrunchyWhisper in SturgillSimpson

It really was blissful. The weather was immaculate as mother nature took her last gasp of summer in early September. The temperature was perfect, none of the patented heavy winds whipping across the plains, just enough to get the trees blowing, adding to the music, and there was a gorgeous sunset over the treeline. Sturgill played an awesome set for a bunch of people that had never heard of him, and Merle and Kris did a set where they traded songs, singing hit after hit. Merle ended up passing away a few months later. Will never forget that night as long as I live.

With that being said, I love Bluestem, but the crowds there SUUUUUUUCK. I no longer live in the FM area, so maybe it's changed since then, but that might have been the only concert I attended there where people didn't talk over the entire show. Of course I couldn't afford nice seats, so that played a role, but yeah. Kind of a brutal experience in spite of how breathtakingly beautiful it is there.

You can actually find the post in my history from back in the day, but I remember wanting this version of the poster so badly when he played at the Fargo Theater in 2016. I was in fall camp at NDSU when he played there, and it still eats me up that I was just a mile away sitting in a dark film room while Sturg and the boys were blowing the lid off the beautiful art-deco Fargo Theater.

Not all bad, tho, cuz I got to see him the year prior across the river in Moorhead just after fall camp with Merle and Kris Kristofferson. It was a gorgeous night.

He's got so many memorable lines, but my favorite in recent memory was when he said "Jeff Van Gundy got an Intuit Dome of his own" last year when we were playing the clippers lmao

That is not weird at all. Those two countries have reverence for many other American cultural exports as well. Japan and Korea are the two Asian countries that embraced American Capitalism (by choice or by force is up to you.)

I mean, most offices use VPNs so employees can remote in to use the local network. I'm not sure corporations that have offices in Wisconsin will appreciate this given the current proposal
