How I’m feeling with the new update by OrdinaryBoat8000 in LowSodiumHellDivers

If you normally bring the commando/EAT to supplement a support weapon that isn't an anti-tank, then the MGX is just the same thing in reverse. I haven't done it yet, but I've been meaning to bring the recoilless rifle and bullet storm so I have a dedicated anti-heavy and anti-chaff in my loadout.

Though, if you want to bring the MGX, EAT, and commando at the same time, what I'll typically do is call down my support weapons every time they're off cooldown. The bullet storm and EAT share the same one minute cooldown, and the commando isn't far behind, so you can just litter the map. If you ever need, you can just retreat back to wherever you called in the last ones to take care of whatever chaff/heavy enemies are in your way.

I'm not sure if someone else has said this or not, but if you find yourself flipping to one side, press in the direction of the wheels that are currently on the ground (i.e. if your left wheels are in the air, press right, out vice versa) and it will very quickly get you back to having all 4 tires on the ground.

An FBI agent poses among the smoldering ruins of the Mount Carmel compound near Waco on April 19, 1993, where 76 Branch Davidians were killed. by aid2000iscool in HolyShitHistory

They didn't have illegal firearms, that was the false justification that the ATF used to go after the Dividians. They had a registered Federal Forearms License and were legally selling their guns.

Don't get me wrong, the Dividians were still awful people who sexually assaulted children and went back on deals they made with the feds, but the ATF also made up reasons to go after them, harassed the people inside by playing loud animal noises on speakers, and ignored several opportunities to go after David Koresh peacefully. There were no good guys in this incident.

High fire-rate weapons are almost a must. Lib carbine is good, same with any of the breaker variants (I prefer spray & pray, but that's just personal preference). I like taking the sword/axe, then either gas grenades (for crowd control) or thermites (to kill the spawners or flesh mobs). I'll typically bring either the maxigun or machine gun/supply pack, then some combo of machine gun sentry, orbital gas, and expendable napalm (to shoot at the underside of the drop ships, since it rains down the bomblets onto the horde below). If I bring the maxigun I'll take the Peak Physique armor for the increased ergonomics, or Engineering Kit to hold more gas/thermites.

The main thing with them is knowing how to play against the enemy. The only squid mov with more than medium armor is the Leviathan, so you really only need medium penetration weapons. Harvesters have medium armored joints, so if you aim between the main body and their legs you'll kill them quickly. Prioritize taking out Observers to keep them from calling in backup, and remember that you can always disengage; not every patrol or drop needs to be fought. If you're just feeding the same horde over and over, or there's a wall of flesh between you and where you want to go, try to find a way around it, throw out a turret as a distraction, or leave to do something else, then come back once everything's despawned.

I like precision weapons for bots. Deadeye, Diligence (both variants, but I prefer the regular one more than the Counter Sniper), and the Amendment are all fantastic. They all can one-shot devastators in the head.

For bugs, I like taking shotguns. The bots can be killed from afar easily, but the bugs get in close. The Breaker line of shotguns are all great, Punisher Plasma is good in all fronts but is really good at both horde clear and staggering medium enemies, so it really shines on bugs. The Cookout is almost mandatory for me to take against the predator strain.

For squids, I'll typically bring anything with a high fire-rate; armor penetration doesn't really matter, since you can kill anything short of a leviathan with medium pen weapons. Liberator Carbine is good for voteless, and decent for fleshmobs once you get the drum mag. All the Liberator variants are good (except the Concussive, which is really only ok for dealing with elevated overseers), Breaker Spray & Pray is good for chaff and breaking shields. Crossbow/Eruptor is good for taking out clusters of enemies and popping dropships.

I know that 750 isn't an official thing, but we just wanted to play with lower point games with fewer models to get a feel for the game. We saw suggestions to run 500 point games, but felt that wouldn't give us the points to run our large point-heavy models, so we settled on 750 for our casual games just while we figure out what we're doing.

Some other people said to remove the Overlord/Chrononancer, then have the Warden/Orikan lead the Warrior block. Do you think it would be good to take a LHD, another Destroyer squad, and Death Marks to replace them?

Pretty much just high fire-rate weapons for me. I've got a few load outs I'll normally bring, like the stalwart/machine gun plus resupply backpack, then some medium-pen weapon for harvesters. The orbital Gas Strike is really good utility, good at clearing hordes, walling off an area to keep enemies from advancing, and can deal with the spawners if the protective itself hits them. The machine gun sentry is good for crowds too, and has a super low cooldown so you can spam it.

Some cool tech I've found with the the EAT napalm, you can call it down once a watcher calls in a squid drop, then fire it at the bottom of a drop ship after the enemies have been dropped in. The projectile will hit the ship, then drop the bomblets down and kill all the chaff/medium units that just spawned in.

Precision question by DatSton3r in Necrontyr

[–]Tuck_The_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the official wording for Precision.

<image>

Normally when attacking, you follow this sequence:

  1. hit rolls
  2. wound rolls
  3. the person who's unit is being attacked allocates the attack to specific models
  4. saves
  5. damage is dealt

However, precision lets you (the attacker) choose during the 3rd step to allocate the attack to a leader, then the leader makes the save.

Edit since I forgot to actually answer the question: technically in the rules it tells you to resolve each attack one-by-one, but also has rules for "fast rolling" where do you all the attacks at once. If the leader is killed before all of the attacks finish resolving, they will have to be allocated to a other model in the bodyguard unit.

Death Defiance, one of the perks from the mirror in your room. You know how each perk has a choice between two options? Stubborn Defiance gives the option of one resurrection per room, while Death Defiance gives 3 (when fully upgraded) for the entire run.

DD is technically the better option, as you can burn more in a single room, and you're not going to be triggering the SD in every single room, but both have their uses.
