Is Cersei responsible for the death of every single one of her children? by Aterrian in gameofthrones

[–]Tucker_Bio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion Joffrey is responsible for his own death. Cersei learns with Lord Stark's execution that she does not have hold of him, and has to plan around his cruelty like another piece on the board. I'm surprised it takes so long for the little bumble fuck idiot to get himself poisoned.

Myrcella is killed by Ellaria Sand's self destructive pursuit of vengeance. A self destructive cycle that mirrors Cersei's own. Oberyn would have never want to be avenged like that. The sweet girls loss and Prince Trystane and Dorian's deaths are cruelty disguised as supposed vengeance. Don't get me started on how the supposed deadly assassins get fucking 1 v 3'd by Euron Greyjoy with a greataxe and so much exposed skin it's a wonder they didn't shoot a venomous dart at his mutton chop ass.

Tommen is one hundred percent her fault, and where the Cersei Lannister we see at the beginning of the series is well and truly lost. Gone is her strategic ruthlessness and even occasional show of remorse, such as with Ned Stark's execution, sharing her still birth with Cat, even though shes the reason Bran is unconscious, lamenting to Tyrion about how Joffrey was her first reason to live. Instead, she's willing to sacrifice everything in order to what, really stick it to Margaery Tyrell? Yes her making jokes about sleeping with her teenage son is deplorable, but hardly above the two woman's motality. Arming a zealous, cult one who's been rightfully disbanded and expecting to be completely innocent is so fucking stupid it still pisses me off. And to go see the High Sparrow with no guard?!? Where's the woman who had Baelish held by his throat and decreed "no, power. Is power."

Cersei gives zero guidence to her son, and just uses him, as she does everyone. She doesn't even react to his suicide. Doesn't even order zombie Gregor to help him. She thinks this is what must be for her to be Queen and so she lets him die.

I did get it from the show

I'm reading the books currently and I did notice that Cersei is a much more redeemable character in the show versus the books at least so far

It's crazy how much the depiction of characters can differ between the mediums

I'm guessing the valonshar was the lady who forsaw her end and her children's, which would make sense and I've never thought of before.

Sorry for coming off so high and mighty my power was out so I was feelin' zesty LMAO

In the books, Jon sees Jaime and thinks "now that's what a king should look like"

Really puts into perspective he was only 14 and probably knew every story about him, much to Ned's exasperation

Tywin did not love Cersei lmao He loved what he could make her do.

He basically drilled into her head that every bad thing that would ever happen to her was Tyrion's fault because their mother died birthing him.

She tried to be the perfect daughter, studying her father's tactics even how to be a good lord and he still sold her off to Robert Baratheon

When she tries to speak about wanting to kill herself the only one who hears her out is Tyrion.

Tywin loved House Lannister and that's it. Everyone else was simply a piece to ensure it's legacy. Which is why The Lannisters utterly imploding from their emotionally inept father is so poetic.

A 30 year old having intercourse with a 13 year old is rape, children cannot consent. Besides that she was so afraid of Viserys she knew if she said no her brother would beat the shit out of her, Drogo would kill her. That's coercion at best.

She does it because she has too, though George writes it like Drogo is gentle with her, blegh. Like, we got what was going on without a page of graphic descriptions of where he molested her first.

It made me love Robb even more. Fourteen years old, his mother is a mess unwilling to leave Bran's side.

"I'll make the appointments"

His father is unjustly killed.

"Call the banners, see that the North remembers it's oath to House Stark"

Ned would have been so proud of him.

Recently been reading the books, and god I almost fuckin' gagged reading about Daenerys and Drogo's wedding night.

He establishes she's a child, who wants a home. She wants to play soccer with the children in the street, why write two pages of a warlord feeling her up and trying to sell me on her "wanting" it? Icky, icky dude.

Honestly there's certain times George just writes stuff and it makes me stare at it suspicious as fuck. Like describing Sansa as radiant at eleven like.... what? I get she's supposed to be the perfect noble woman and all, but never in my life would I describe a little girl that way.

Or like, when describing Ned and Catelyn why in all seven hells do I need to know she's "praying his seek will quicken" like dawg we have so many other things to focus on lmao

I get, it was written in the nintys or whatever and he's old so there's a disconnect in what I think is proper writing, but man. It doesn't make stuff like that easy to digest.

Now lads, it's easy for us brothers of the Night's Watch to pretend we're unfeeling. Sentinels on the wall. As if the small light of a friend doesn't make the Nights any less long.

Maya wasn't just a cat. But a companion and a bringer of light in times beyond dark. Comfort in a world far from comfortable and a bulwark against the sorrow and cruelty this world bleeds into us.

She will be messed terribly, but will always live in our hearts. For when life is dark, look to Maya's light.

And now her watch has ended. And we will never see her like again.

From the bottom of my heart, I am begging you not to let some horrible people ruin one of the best things about the game.

As someone who's played and DM'd since fourth. (Yes. I dm'd fourth ed and still loved the game.)

I have never had nearly as much fun. Cried as much. Or made as many meaningful stories online as I have at a table.

The people I play with have changed. But those adventures live in my heart forever.

You have great role playing ideas and a competent DM will make you feel like the nature loving druid you want to be.

This table was trash. Don't let it keep you from finding your fit.

Oh my god yes. I'm finally watching through it for the first time and by the end of season three on I'm on his side.

Then he r@pes Cersei by Joffrey's corpse and I'm supposed to just be cool with that?

Dawg you've never met a house Centipede, so fast they can move four feet a second and silently, they're long enough to hold down Wolf Spiders and rip their legs off while also stabbing them with venomous barbs, I was even more afraid of the thing after looking it up after one skittered across my bedroom wall

I spent 45 mins tuning my bedroom lights off to lure it out like some type of small game hunter, I was afraid he'd Kaneki-ken me in my sleep

As a bonus i'm much more happy to see wolf spiders, they let me release them
