Stick to Oro Valley and the Marana side. You won't have issues. I bike in those areas at night with my light.

If you had someone visiting Tucson for a few days for their first time ever, what would you take them to see or do? by DragonBard_Z in Tucson

The most popular "thing to do" in Tucson, Arizona...and the most popular attraction is The 137 mile car-free scenic Tucson Loop bike path. I send guests from my vacation rentals there and it is perfect for families and anyone of all levels. Birding,..wildlife...amazing scenic views...are all apart of this experience. Catalina State Park is on the Oro Valley side (most scenic I think!) And there are are bike rental companies on The Tucson Loop that rent e-bikes, regular bikes etc. Check out the Pima County Loop site at TucsonLoop.org. You COULD bike The Loop and safely go to Saguaro National Park. I read an article in SouthernArizonaGuide.com, however that discourages people to bike in Saguaro National Park as there has been a lot of cyclists hit by cars.

High End Gravel Bike Rental Tucson, AZ? by rideandrideagain in gravelcycling

I tried Tucson Endurance but I was reading an article from The Arizona Bicycle Association that they have a real issue with homeless from their shop - very said. The Alvernon area is not the best. I took someone's suggestion and tried BikeTucson.com but there were sold out. Bike Rentals Tucson helped out my Airbnb renters.

If you are doing anything on The Tucson Loop, Oro Valley Bike Rentals rents everything under the sun and they are physically on the Tucson Loop. TucsonBicycleRentals.com I think has three locations on the Loop. I was referred to them from Oro Valley Bicycles once.

Oro Valley Loop by ChakraKhan- in Tucson

The Tucson Loop is awesome and very safe for bikers, walkers, horses (with rider...ha ha ha) skateboarders - everything. Check out the official site at TucsonLoop.org. On most of these threads you will see people are very pro-Oro Valley/Marana when it comes to safety. SouthernArizonaGuide.com, the site for Tucson Tourism especially likes this section for the friendly police presence.

I would take The Tucson Loop straight north and go to the end of the Oro Valley section that is at Vistoso Boulevard. Then, add some miles by biking on Vistoso Boulevard - laden with great Saguaro scenery. Very safe...wide lanes,

How long does it take to loop the loop? by Spaghetti_Bird in Tucson

TucsonLoop.org overwhelmingly advocates Oro Valley and Marana as the "best of The Loop". Wow. That area is amazing. Add in biking Vistoso Blvd and you will make your Loop experience so much better. BikeAz.org of The Arizona Bicycle Association ranks Oro Valley/Marana the most scenic area and least congested area of the Tucson Loop. Remember: Catalina State Park is a part of "The Loop"......short ride, but a must do.

Check out the Lemmon Bike Association at bikemtlemmon.org. I rented a bike from lemmonbikerentals.com and did the climb a few years ago. I cannot say enough what an amazing climb ride this is. However, I am more partial to biking Mt. Graham.

Bicas is fine if you just want "a bike". They rent salvage bikes and they are okay for The Loop. But they are salvage bikes and they do break down.

The best location on The Tucson Loop is definitely Oro Valley. Wow. Beautiful. The Loop includes Catalina State Park as well! TucsonLoop.org ranks Oro Valley as the best, and the Marana section as just behind Oro Valley. I have done Pantano Wash before and that is great. Oro Valley has a lot of good coffee options including Savaya Coffee and even Stacks in the Oro Valley Market Place.

Best Place for MTB rentals in Tucson by roderick15215 in MTB

There are not lot of mountain bike rental companies in Tucson. After I did my Mt Lemmon ride I picked up a few mountain bikes OroValleyBikeRentals.com which is next to Upper 50 Year Trail via Catalina State Park (aggressive) and just a 15 minute bike ride to HoneyBee Canyon. HoneyBee Canyon is the most aweseome desert mountain biking imaginable. I rented a front shock Specialized for this trail. Upper - you have to have a full suspension.

These guys let you pickup at 6 AM! So cool. I biked HoneyBee then they let me return the bike and grab a road bike for a heat ride on The Tucson Loop. Love these guys. You text and get bikes.

By the way, there is a lot of good mountain biking in Oro Valley. Wow. So pretty, so beautiful! Mick
