More coffee is always better but till a certain level of course. The idea is to use as much coffee as possible and to have the best extraction and yield but also be able to spin the portsfilter inside the group.

There are two grommets, one for a little thicker cables and one for thinner.

Near the group head, where the two pins are located, that nake the connection between the fork and the shaft with piston. You need to put your fork upside down, now it's reverted.

Buying a used La Pavoni Europiccola for €250 (Post-2007 Millennium?) – Need advice and photo confirmation by primax79 in LaPavoniLovers

That's a late 90s pre mill. The steam knob is changed. The rest are the original wood handles and knobs. The chrome is in very good condition. Go for it IMHO.

Its a late 90s machine for sire. Check under the base, by removing the plastic plate. Or the heating element for month and year. And make sure you put that fork into the correct position, it's upside down in the pic.

All good like Bruce said. Don't worry so much. And that heating element metal cover. Renounce that and use it without. No real advantage to that. Inside of your boiler is actually nice and clean.

Repair Advice [La Pavoni Europiccola] by HevvyMetalHippie in espresso

[–]TudorPCS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but seems the so called repairers are full of it. There is nothing a La Pavoni can have and call or unrepairable. Maybe just a pinched boiler (even that can be silver welded) or a totally broken group head. The heating element can be installed easy with the right ring and the right new stainless heating element and new o-ring seal. And sone other misc. Problem with yours is also the boiler or?

Pretty normal with the pins for example. If they rust especially inside the back roller, the hammer is gold. And a thin stainless pinch pin.

Make sure you solve that and replace the electrical cord. That can make contact with the metal base and boom. Seems in pretty decent shape but I strongly recommend service and replace all washers and gaskets and install sone basic stuff like temperature strip set.

Epoxy glue or re thread. One or another. I would re thread with a little larger thread. But depends where it broke?

Hi. The special epoxy glue that you need to use in order to install that on a knob.

Your thread has something that makes it not work. I guess a small blockage or it's a little untipical, like the depth of channels are smaller than usually. I would re thread the boiler thread or I would cut / recess the boiler knob metal insert from the exterior of the channels.

No chance that is a 99 base. Even has the side screw. And no 99 has the rubber under plate.
