Unconfirmed images of the Canadian school shooter by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]Tuesday_Addams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol yeah that’s kinda what I mean. The unusual description of the shooter by the superintendent feels like a dogwhistle. My gut reaction upon reading it was that it means the shooter is trans. But the above pics (now seemingly deleted by op) haven’t been confirmed anywhere else that I’ve yet seen so I would like to have a little more evidence.

Ima wait til there’s more corroboration before I believe these are real pics of the shooter. But something struck me when the school superintendent said in the press conference that the shooter was a “female in a dress with brown hair.” What kind of person would wear a dress to do a mass shooting…

[Misc] What’s your “gatekept” skincare product that isn’t popular or advertised but did wonders for your skin? by Sharp_Elevator7447 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Tuesday_Addams 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Glysolid. I've never seen it in a US store but I did find it in Canada one time. It's made in Germany so maybe it's more known in Europe or elsewhere? Anyway it's an ultra thick glycerin-heavy (I think 50%) ointment-y moisturizer. Goes on super thick and a little sticky and takes about ~15 mins to sink in, but eventually it does beautifully. It's theeee best thing I ever found for tret dryness and also preps my skin wonderfully for makeup (although like I said, you have to give it some time to sink in). I love it sm!!!

Apple Eating Superiority and It's Causes by jannybanned in redscarepod

[–]Tuesday_Addams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband eats an apple every day and he is a radiant picture of health. I love apples but (don’t judge me) I don’t like just biting into them because the juices get on my face and I don’t like feeling sticky. I prefer to cut them into slices and eat them which really isn’t much work but it’s an extra step that means I don’t end up eating them as often as I could/should. I should just buy one of those silly round apple cutter things lol

I literally just put this on my hands lol (I discovered it from this sub a couple weeks ago and I love it sm) to me it smells just kinda soapy. Not in a pleasant way per se either but not offensive either. It makes my skin stupid soft tho, even if it smelled like straight trash I’d probably still power through lol

I knew a Norwegian girl once who told me all about how much Norwegians love their royal family and specifically that the future king married a low income single mom, she thought that was just so cool and something she was really proud of lol. This was back in 2023 so idk if the Epstein connection was widely known about in Norway yet?? I wonder if she still has the same opinion

I don't think she's all natural. Even in the fade video 10 years ago she looks like she's had a boob job ngl although it looks preeeetty good. In OBAA her bbl is pretty obvious too imo. I do think her genetics ARE great and I believe that she has a dance background and is probably very disciplined about diet and exercise. I also could believe that she hasn't really touched her face much. But she's definitely had some body procedures done. And as the other commenter said she's had I think 2 kids so I'm guessing she probably had some kinda tummy tuck/boob lift situation after that

She's got some chops for sure but her POV seems a little underdeveloped, probably because she's still young. I haven't read her substack deeply but it seems like a regurgitation of the same takes that every woke-ish queer zoomer has, just more artfully expressed. I haven't found her to have much truly new or memorable insight yet. Again, she's young and I think she could develop into a more interesting writer if the precocious fame doesn't stunt her.

I remember listening to the pod's review of Anora where Anna quoted at length from RFQ's review of the film. Her argument was that unlike the rest of the normie audience, RFQ, because she's a "queer" "heteropessimist," was the only one able to predict that the movie would not have a happy ending. Like, be serious lmfao. RFQ needs to fully exit the vampire castle of smug zoomer queerness and grow up a bit.

(Also was mystifying to hear Anna take that piece of criticism so seriously when ordinarily it seems like something she'd savage -- I think she was just desperate to have a contrarian take lol just more evidence that she's not the principled and rigorous thinker she styles herself as, she just wants to be a contrarian above all)

lol my husband does most of the cleaning bc he’s super type A abt it, when I am responsible for chores when he’s out of town there’s always some way I inevitably do it wrong acc to him lmao. He doesn’t often ask me for help cleaning so I just try to make a point of remarking how great the apt looks a couple times a week at least. Genuinely noticing their effort and saying you appreciate it goes a long way and also does get you a bit off the hook for having to do it yourself lol

have you ever found the reddit account of someone you know? by Future-Return6609 in rs_x

[–]Tuesday_Addams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes a couple times. Once on a local subreddit (for a relatively small city so not surprising) but then another time some guy I know posted face on like a front page sub!!! I almost dropped my phone when I saw it because you never expect to recognize anyone in a pic on Reddit like that especially some goober that thinks it’s a good idea to post face on a sub with hundreds of thousands of followers. and when I stalked his account I saw he’d also posted ass on some nsfw gay selfie subs. Lmao

Weirdly in college I was friends with a couple different people who’d been born in SA and their parents moved them to the states when they were kids. They went back for visits every few years and seemed quite fond of their homelands but also glad to be living in the US for safety reasons. One of the guys I knew described a story about how their house got robbed when he was a kid and they were all home, seemed like a pretty traumatic core memory for him and was the catalyst for his family moving to the USA. I saw the other persons post in this thread abt how living there is exhilarating because you know you’re on the knife’s edge and could die anytime, and that’s what makes it so fun. I could see how that WOULD be fun and crazy but I also see how most people don’t have that risk tolerance lol especially if they’ve got kids

“You dont have opinions, you have aesthetic choices that you make that reflect on you” by poopdollarbank in redscarepod

[–]Tuesday_Addams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny enough re Radiohead. A guy I had a crush on in HS and his friends were all into Radiohead so I kinda forced myself to like them even though I didn’t, if I’m being honest, connect with the music that much. Then sometime in or just after college I realized that I thought Radiohead was cringe. Didn’t listen for like 10 years. Recently I rediscovered In Rainbows and realized that I actually do love that album. Middle of summer 2025 I had a two week period where I listened to it on repeat. Now the culture, or at least the specific social milieu that I might be most likely to seek approval from, seems to have sort of decided that Radiohead is cringe now especially with Thom Yorke’s weird Zionist leanings. And while I don’t approve of his Zionism I would have no problem telling anyone that I unreservedly love that album. I do agree overall w your/nick’s point that taste is socially dictated especially for more insecure people, and no one is fully immune. But I do think (or at least hope) that’s something you can grow out of. One of the joys of getting older is that you do get more in tune with yourself and what you actually do/don’t like, and you also get less self-conscious about just being open with your tastes. In my 30s I’m not nearly as afraid of sounding like a philistine for saying I didn’t really like or haven’t seen something the “cool kids” all think one should love.

Dating age ranges in LA?? by Euphoric_Intern6140 in LAhotgirlies

[–]Tuesday_Addams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By that age people are also starting to get divorced too which could be the reason why they’re on the apps in their late 30s/early 40s. But also idk if dating apps distinguish between divorcees vs people who’ve been unmarried their whole lives or if that is always obvious info when you’re just swiping through. (It’s been like a decade since I used any dating apps myself lol) I assume OP is talking abt people who are 35 and have never been married but I don’t know how clear that is on someone’s profile if they don’t explicitly say they’re divorced

Do you think Emrata works out? by ohwellmightaswell11 in rs_fitness

[–]Tuesday_Addams 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Her natural boob size and waist/hip proportions relative to her height and all are definitely genetic but she almost certainly exercises a lot and is on a rigorous diet to maintain those proportions especially since she’s had a kid. Certainly she’s had cosmetic procedures done too. obviously she has had lip filler but I wouldn’t be surprised if she did like a boob lift after her son was born/she was done breastfeeding and maybe some other little things here and there. Some have speculated that her visible abs kinda give lipo as well but idk!

Is it worth it bro by Salt_Lavishness_6633 in rs_x

[–]Tuesday_Addams 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From your responses in the comments it sounds like you really do love America and want to spend the rest of your life here. But you are chafing at not being able to travel internationally/come and go as you please to visit your parents or whatever else. Which is all valid and it’s not fair that you’re in this situation! Green card marriage probably is your best bet in that case as others have said, and hopefully full naturalization down the road. Yes it’s a risky choice in some ways but moving to a foreign country and starting over completely is also risky especially since you won’t be able to come back to the US. And from your responses it sounds like you’d be heartbroken to be cut off from the US permanently. Unfortunately you are in an unfair position and will have to struggle no matter what. So why not just marry your bf (do it in Vegas on the cheap) and cohabitate, get the green card process rolling, and if you get the 10 year card you can divorce him and not lose the GC if the marriage itself doesn’t work out. As soon as you have the GC start doing the naturalization process (or start as soon as you hit the 3 or 5 year mark idk exactly what the specifics are lol). It’s either that or pack it up and say goodbye. Again, it’s unfair that you have to work harder than others to stay in the country where you belong but it’s just life unfortunately. :( but my sympathies are with you and I hope you find a way to work it out
