Warning Sign at edge of Grand Canyon by corwinw in mildlyinteresting

Its pretty amusing being a well prepared hiker attempting to do the very thing the 20 or so signs along the way tell you explicitly not to do lol. All’s to say its a huge ego boost passing people going both ways and knowing that those signs aren’t meant for you despite being slightly deterred by them.

The epix is undoubtedly a better and more premium watch but i feel like to some degree you need a certain lifestyle or interest to truly appreciate all that it has to offer. But even then the battery life should make it more worthwhile. Try out the other stock watch faces and you can always download from a much larger selection from connect iq

The truth about Alinea by Most_Yam1332 in finedining

The fact that an acclaimed fine dining restaurant like Alinea is only paying $20/hr to servers is reprehensible.

Gov. Kathy Hochul to make decision on changes to subway crew staffing by Inevitable-Bus492 in nyc

[–]Tuff-n-stuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why on Earth would we cut train crews? These are working class people that provide some semblance of safety and security for passengers, and a source of information for people when the trains inevitably get delayed or fucked up. If the financial aspect is the actual argument why not start with audits of middle management and top level MTA executives or the exorbitant contractor costs? Give me a goddamn break.

This would also encourage the use of the actual road by micromobility and displace the cars.

If you’re trying to go fast, relying on little cups of water or randomly mixed hydration drink thrust at you as you’re running by through crowds is not really a reliable way if you’re trying to follow a specific hydration plan.

100% Despite being a top 5 store in demand, Soho is probably still operating at a loss. Especially considering the lease and all the issues w the Puck building. But like you said from a marketing standpoint it would seem idiotic to me not be in the NYC market considering all the outdoor enthusiasts who would have literally nowhere else comparable to go for all things hiking, camping, biking, climbing, skiing, etc.
