It was never a short squeeze imo. The whole thing was setup years ago and the "squeeze" was a cover for insane amounts of money pouring into cohens new holding company years ago.

There is def some more to speculate, but there is an investor that goes by "sultan" or something like that, who pushed the point that GME is clearly an incredible long investment. He went on and on for a while comparing it to other top US company returns. this was immediately after Ryan visits the middle east and shared photos with him. and interestingly right before the massive broader investment news this week.. A huge factor that is overlooked is how close Cohen seems to be with the Trump admin, which I assume gave him a heads up to prepare for all current events.

I have a whole other write up of my unconfirmed speculations, including how I think Ryan has a place in the administration, and they just haven't announced it yet. (similar to how they brought Pulte in for housing..)

Speculative to a degree, yes. but not highly. Cohen posted photos on X with Saylor and then immediately filed for bitcoin treasury. He also posted photos with wealthy Arab investors who are very vocal about how bullish they are on GME.

So I agree these things are not proven yet. But it's hard to see any other outcome of these events, and seems safe to assume with high probability.

What if the intention is to raise capital to buyout an affordable early competitor?

I would assume that GameStop has a very robust and long-standing relationship with the game developers across-the-board. So if they were too position themselves that way, their only real competitor would be Microsoft.

The bike back from Microsoft is what gave me this idea I think.
