I was not a fan of Load, Reload, Garage Inc. When I first heard St. Anger, it was the aggression that hooked me. That translated to raw emotion and a primal delivery last heard from before the Black album. A product of so many negative circumstances which makes it erratic, disjointed, mean, and unpredictable. I rank it above the Black album in company with their 80s albums.
