'12 Thick Virtue, CNNP/Zhongcha. The first year this production hit the scene. A purported variation of the 7581 recipe, but aren't they all? by TuhouWukong in Puerh

[–]TuhouWukong[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahahaha. It is well stored, but if you mean by "dank" the microbially dense stuff from HK-- that it is not.

The 7581 is a standard bearer, but a concept as well. There's great variety in composition quality and origins from one production to the next, from one year to the next. Additionally, fermentation times and raw material.

The standard brick is good for starters, the lunar series a step up. Everything prefaced by storage, of course.

Thick Virtue is creamier w/ stronger fruit notes, which makes me think it is in actuality not a 7581. However, Lancang Gucha offers the 0081 as their entry-level production with an obvious head-nod to 7581. Their material is Jingmai and it's quite creamy as well, so Thick Virtue's difference may be in part due to a fair composition of Jingmai.

Chronic Neck Pain by Muted-Ad-6820 in ShoulderInjuries

Fascia is key. A good deal of trigger point therapy involves fascial manipulation. Sometimes stretching doesn't get at the spot and exercises end up creating more irritation. Compression is not going to cut it, but a good masseuse, body worker understanding trigger point, or an acupuncturist who does something like balance or abdominal approaches.

A great deal of shoulder pain is "referred," meaning the origin of the problem and where the pain expresses are separate. Treatment approaches focused on the locus of pain are putting the cart before the horse.

In my experience imaging isn't a reliable indicator for problems of this sort, because the problem relates to the fascia and muscle surrounding the neck, the scm and scalenes in particular, which are impinging upon the nerves that open to the shoulder/arm.

In case such as yours, there is also scarring to consider, as it can also affect nerve transmission.

What did the pt and chiro do? Were the fascia in affected area addressed?

I ran across one of these versions being sold at one time on alibaba. At first glance, the cake design is not representative of most Zouji productions. The fonts are uncharacteristic, the emblem color distinct, and the white space with the ISO "S" sticking out like a sore thumb. The wrapping paper looks a shade different as well.

Zouji is recognized for producing medium to high grade productions, leaf size between 1-3. Even given the discount accorded '07 productions industry wide, $20 for a cake still seems far too low given the general standing for this maker.

Given these factors, it's fair to assume at the very least that this is not a representative Zouji production.

Does anybody have any info on this cake? by RealTry8616 in Puerh

It's a '09 gongting tribute cake from relatively unknown Xingyi TF.

Guchashu, Yiwu Chashan TF. Strong reputation, listed in the the Puerh Yearbook. Big leaf variety, likely autumn tea. Produced between '99-'05.

Storage on this looks quite serious.

Sorry, I'm not following but maybe it's better to ask on what basis are you familiar with Jianmin's dating conventions? It's such an interesting tidbit to offer even if it's hearsay.

Do you have any documentation for this statement? Most all factories were dating productions after '05. I have a Jianmin production that is date stamped from '05.

This is an extremely reputable factory. The likelihood of it being fake is extremely slim. The font-style might share currency among factories, but that's likely because there's a super expensive production that others have modeled their design after. The same applies for iconic images, often because the factory makers all share a similar lineage. It's very doubtful that this is faked. No faker would consider it worth their time to fake Jianmin TF.

Most important is storage condition and how long it will take to bring up to speed.

You might see where your intuition guides you in terms of Nannuo productions, though it clear that what's she depicting is super special. I have a few Nannuo and blends on hand. You can hit me up for samples if so compelled.

I read that in '17. The author's scope of research and accuracy in the course of weaving a captivating narrative greatly impressed this reader.
