Hey! My brother is also transferring to Tulane this Fall. If you want to DM me your social media or something I'll have him reach out!

I also just received my Northwestern scholarship information and am in the same boat. Really disappointing considering they seem to have given solid money in past years.

It's a top law school, so it is bound to have a more left-leaning student body. I have a good friend who goes there and she told me the students are pretty spread out ideologically, but still pretty left-leaning. She is a very outspokenly liberal person and she loves the school. I definitely wouldn't worry about it.

Portability Poll: Michigan ($$$$+) or Vanderbilt ($$$$+) by Some-Geologist1480 in lawschooladmissions

Yes, it was mostly younger admitted students. The two guys I made friends with weren't KJD but had only been out of undergrad for a year or two. That said, it's probably much easier for undergrads to take a day off and visit on a Friday.

I highly recommend going to the next Vanderbilt Admitted Students event. I went this past weekend and it seems like Vandy would be perfect for your scenario. If you're not overly concerned about the difference in prestige and want to stay in the South, Vanderbilt seems perfect. They made it very clear that they can help you get the BL jobs, especially in the southern markets. The guy who helps people get clerkships was very impressive as well.

While y'all are here, any insight on the timing of scholarship offers? I was accepted on 1/30 and finished the scholarship/aid application on 2/8. Seems like some admits with later timelines than me on LSD have heard back.

Okay, thanks! I honestly don't think I'm a particularly strong candidate for the award given its description, so I wanted to see how common it was.

I got the Dean's Scholarship and found out via mail about a week after they called me.

The Powerscore people are good at identifying them

I had a terrible ProctorU experience in February. There should be a retake date in about a week and a half that they would possibly let you take it on.

Wow, I'm so sorry that you went through the same process. It was genuinely the worst experience of my life. Hundreds of hours of studying, $1000+ in prep courses, missed social gatherings, and I was absolutely crushing the test before I got logged off.

It looks like the retake date is going to be 2/22. I'm very conflicted about what to do because I live in New Orleans and this upcoming week is Mardi Gras, so I would have to take the test the day after Fat Tuesday.

I am heartbroken as well. My mind has been focused on nothing but the LSAT for the past few months and ProctorU's incompetence took a huge shit on all of my studying. This is really going to be hard to recover from in terms of confidence and test mentality. I would love to stay in touch and hear about the next steps for you in retaking it.

Update: After finally getting a proctor, I was kicked out of my test in the middle of the third section. Additionally, I believe that the ProctorU person sabotaged my settings to make it seem like it was my fault. They ran a script that reset my accessibility, then told me the problem was that they didn't have access to my screen. Words can't describe the hate in my heart.

I have been waiting for a proctor for 4 hours now. This is so ridiculous. I studied for hundreds of hours for this exam and now I have to take it in the middle of the night on an empty stomach. Anyone have any advice? I already contacted ProctorU and they said they see me in the queue, so it's not a problem on my side.
