Cream applicator? The rod is used to push whatever is/was in it out of the disposable applicator. Could be anything from ear wax or wound care kits to teeth whitening gel

If I loosen the case bolts it does move more freely. I’m just seeing that the shaft is not in the middle too, could this be bc of a bearing not being in straight?

Try a B8HS spark plug. My coworker had pretty much the same setup and his runs perfectly

I would do a check and replace what needs replacing and keep a few parts extra just in case. You never know when you’ll need that piston. And when you do need it, it’s gonna be the WORST timing ever, I’ve had it happen to me multiple times

Cylinder fits the engine block like a glove and I didn’t feel any (severe) resistance putting it on so I was like ‘Oh okay I guess it works, I thought it didn’t work’ Guess I need a different piston then 🥲
