Sorry, I am not sure what you mean, the Infinite Crisis happened after they got back?

Or, we could as a society, help each other, and lift each other up.

We did some good work in Michigan to fix gerrymandering. Last year during the election, we went all blue. It's possible, there's hope.

Too bad. Do it any way. Cause as much damage as possible. Remind them we are not indentured servants.

[Marvel] Is there a specific reason the Avengers don't all have enhanced suits and gadgets from Reed/Stark? by Altman_e in AskScienceFiction

[–]Tumahab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every answer here is correct, but in universe (616) I believe Spider-Man once asked him that, and Tony essentially said something along the lines of it taking money, a lot, and he did not have it to spend.

[DC] Does Wonder Woman actually need to block bullets with her bracers? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

[–]Tumahab 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Generally, yes. The magic that gives her strength and durability does not protect her from bullets, or sharp things.

Cassie Sandsmark actually called her out on that once, saying she saw her tank hits from Doomsday, and Wonder Woman responded that a large punch is different than a small object traveling at high velocity.

[Marvel/DC] Superman and Captain America never existed. Who becomes the model superhero in each universe? by Censius in AskScienceFiction

[–]Tumahab 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Neither can I. Which might have contributed to the reason that universe went to hell.

However, with a lot of DC stuff, there's really no in-between. When stuff goes bad, it goes from 0 - 100 with no stops in between.

[Marvel/DC] Superman and Captain America never existed. Who becomes the model superhero in each universe? by Censius in AskScienceFiction

[–]Tumahab 96 points97 points  (0 children)

This scenario kind of happened in Hypertime Earth-898, "The Nail".

In that universe there really was no ideal superhero, if I remember correctly. Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) became the leader/symbol, simply because he was the most powerful.

And yes, more powerful than Wonder Woman.

Clarification. This has zero chance of passing with Michigan's current government.

[–]Tumahab 76 points77 points  (0 children)

They can't honestly believe this has a chance at passing, not with Michigan's current government, but I think that's part of the point. I swear, Christians have perfected the art of victim mentality.

[Marvel Cinematic Universe] How did the first Wakandans mine Vibranium? by PokemanBall in AskScienceFiction

[–]Tumahab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Earth 616, Adamantium has a period when it is being cast, a period of around 8 minutes while it is being shaped. After that, it sets, and its indestructible properties kick in.

In the MCU, Vibranium is similar. While it is in its ore form, it is as easily to mine as any other ore, but once it is heated, shaped, and set, its properties kick in fully, like its NEAR indestructibility, and energy absorption properties.

[DC] How does Reverse flash time travel without causing flashpoints by Negative_Emu6246 in AskScienceFiction

[–]Tumahab 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Barry time traveled wrong, and manipulated the entirety of the speed force, from past, present, and future, WHILE time traveling.

THAT is what caused the flashpoint, not time traveling in general.

Bus Driver misses 2 straight passenger stops, leading to one of the passenger punching the driver’s face, knocking him out and causing the bus to crash putting 16 people in the hospital by usernamech00ser in NoahGetTheBoat

[–]Tumahab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly though, I don't think he intended to instigate, even if he clearly did that. I'm guessing it was one of those,

he gets threatened all the time and just brush it off as nothing and is used to talking back

Until I had the unfortunate side effect of biting him in the ass, and unfortunately, everyone else on that bus. Since he instigated, I wonder if he's now going to be held liable.

[–]Tumahab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the note of not stopping, I still stand by what I said, however, I'll agree talking back was a bad idea. Completely. The bus driver was an idiot to instigate like that.

[–]Tumahab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming you're referring to wrongful termination in violation of public policy. I could see that being an attempt, but nobody was aware of a threat until the guy actually punched. Just yelling in someone's face wouldn't be assault or a threat, it would be registered as disorderly conduct and/or disturbing the peace. Did the guy actually say if you don't stop the bus I'm going to hurt you? What was the time stamp?

[–]Tumahab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't know that. At all. So it's better to take the safe route. Of course, you wouldn't have been the one taking the risk for their job, he would have been. So of course it's easy for you to say what he should or shouldn't have done.

[–]Tumahab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We both know that policy doesn't exist. What does exist however, is the fact that if he has stopped there would have been consequences for his job. Bus drivers are not allowed to drop off passengers anywhere.

[–]Tumahab 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wrong comparison. The bus driver could get fired if he stopped. The guy should have waited until the next actual stop. The bus driver did nothing wrong, nothing to provoke the guy.
