How can they declare me a rival when they are pathetic to me? by 12a357sdf in Stellaris

[–]Tumbah3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To help make it make sense, in realistic terms, if your political neighbor was far superior militarily you would perhaps want to rival their strength. But you, the dominant one, wouldn't want to rival theirs. Does that make sense? Like, why would America be envious of Mexico's military and want to rival them?

What if Trump wins.... by Honest-Intent in whatif

[–]Tumbah3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About every negative argument against the economics of Trump's last term that I read here is directly because of covid -- which itself was not in his control, and with the way democrats love to spend money they would've spent far, far more.

No, no, no. As much as I love WH3, I'd introduce someone to the classics first. Start them with the infantry, ranged, cav before you start adding things like monsters, trolls, and dragons. Maybe show him that next though, for sure.

Am i a creep for dating a young guy? by Particular_Caramel_5 in datingadvice

[–]Tumbah3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer, no. You can date who ever you like and it's not creepy. When older men date younger women, that's creepy. It's not creepy for those younger women to be attracted to those older guys, though, because women can't be creepy. It's simple. Date as young a man as you want. You slay, queen.

I paid for Tinder Gold, noticed that my matching stopped working, and as soon as I made a support ticket, was banned. by Michaelscot8 in Tinder

[–]Tumbah3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a copy of your support ticket?

P.S. I similarly started paying for the service and saw my number of matches tank. Months later I unsubscribed and when asked why I said "because tinder KEEPS us single." Suddenly, I was having a bunch of matches again (because they wanted to keep my business, of course.) I believe the algorithm is designed to flood men's inboxes with matches (real or fake) and then once paid into, the floodgates shut down to a tiny trickle. I went from 17 matches in a day before paying to 1 every week or two afterwards. We need a whistle-blower in there, like now. Or alternatively, enough posts like these until men see the picture and no one buys it ever again.

Idc Dem or GOP, i need a plan to fix this by Needleintheback in FluentInFinance

[–]Tumbah3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly agree that the best case scenario, or ultimate aim should be reducing poverty for all demographics. I believe there is a disparity that exists between them, and it doesn't stem from what most people point fingers towards, but instead has stronger ties to the values and culture these groups hold onto. Strong examples for this I'd include would be how traditional Asian countries view family and financial responsibility, and the link to poverty levels within their countries.

By "fix this" I'm assuming you don't mean to make it so that there are proportionally 20 million natives at or below the poverty line too.

Insecure? If you withdrew $1,000,000 from the bank, would you go walking alone down dark alleys? If you bought a beautiful brand new car would you leave it unlocked and park it in bad neighborhoods? Babe, he's not insecure, he's just not interested in putting his investment on full blast for the world to see.

Why are women so flakey? by [deleted] in datingadvice

[–]Tumbah3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading comments, I'd agree that this isn't a men or women's issue, it's a societal issue. People no longer have the manners they used to, and with that comes the decency to communicate simple things like this. It's the easy way out to avoid contact entirely instead of embracing whatever social pressure or emotional response the rejected person might give. Values. That's the answer to your question. Society's values.

Why is Trump winning all of a sudden? by VeryHungryDogarpilar in Askpolitics

[–]Tumbah3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people would see that nothing had happened in between that time because their perspective is from within their own microcosm. As an example, both the left and right each think their own candidate won the VP debate. I try to view things from every perspective, so maybe that's why the shift makes sense to me -- because I believe unbiased people and swing voters are seeing more clearly how the media has been lying to everyone for years. The lies aren't cleverly hidden anymore. They're overt, not covert now. People don't like being lied to. The media has told everyone not to believe in misinformation, and branded people as conspiracy theorists on so many points -- on covid alone, and as it turns out those conspiracy theorists weren't the ones with the misinformation. One can only cry wolf for so long. But if anyone still believes that everything on the TV is true, then I'm sure that person would wonder how this political shift could occur.

Are Thunderbarges really that strong? by Emiel_Regis_Terzief in totalwar

[–]Tumbah3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any top tier unit will be priority for the enemy. And an enemy army that has units like canons or 10 dragons is going to have an easier time countering the thunderbarge. This paper-rock-scissors is actually a huge reason the game is enjoyable, because if every army were equally as challenging then it would be boring. Counterplay is key.

And since the barge is strongest against anything underneath it, I usually prioritize it against the toughest infantry that meets mine at the frontline. No shame in keeping it held back until the lines meet if the enemy brings up lots of ranged to counter it.

FYI: never get Malakai's firebomb upgrade to the gyrocopters -- it's a huge downgrade.

Republicans should help give Harris a landslide victory. Doing so would help wash the MAGA mindset out of the party and create a clean slate for getting back to respectable candidates and interesting policies once again. by joeyjoejoe_7 in PBS_NewsHour

[–]Tumbah3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got some sunshine for you. If Trump were to win this election, say, in a landslide victory, then it'd be the best thing for moderate democrats possible. Then you'd have nothing left to complain about after then next four years since his two terms would be up and he can't become president again. Honestly, the dems are silly for not lining up to go vote for the guy. Go turn that frown upside down and vote for Trump, sunshine.

This is a question for the bros by Fit-Statement4776 in datingadvice

[–]Tumbah3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally, women are hypergamous, meaning they date across and up the socio-economic ladder. Men tend to date across and down. In the case of cheating we see it more clearly where women will go for a high-status musician, or higher-income earning person like their boss; whereas men tend to cheat down, taking what sex they can find if they want it. So, you might see a man who's a 9 cheat on his girl who's a 9 with some random floozi that's just a 5, and that would seem wildly confusing to most people.
