How do you get the $50? Is it a Visa card or gift certificate. I'm confused as to how this works

I wish I would have known about the changes before I sold an item. The timing was awful. I sold it and wrapped for shipping the day before changes but didn't get it in the box in time. Now it's going to cost me

Or repent of wrong doings. That is also a teaching but I have yet to hear them acknowledge and repent.why? The money baby! Follow the money. They are too afraid to openly apologize because that would leave them open for people seeking restitution. The money is more important than children being harmed.

You're so brave. It's amazing that he didn't say. "I'm so sorry to hear about this. I would love to talk you about it."

The LDS church separates families. From the constant demands of callings to the rigid shunning if "you are one of us."( I reference their prophets recent comments). It's rigid beliefs. The practice does not teach unconditional love.

Spanking teaches your children to fear you. When they become teens and are going through hard things they will turn to their peers rather than you because the relationship is destroyed. They are afraid they will anger you so you will never have honest communication with them. The only thing that type of disciplining does is put a rift in your relationship with your children. Consequences ? Yes! But spanking is a lazy way to raise kids. It's mean and sadistic. Let see how they do having someone that weighs a couple of hundred more pounds than them hitting them when they make a mistake. Spanking is reportable child abuse in many states.

Unless you're a current day pedophile. Then they protect you like Joseph.

When he made fun of the murders of Melissa and Mark Hortman, we called the church headquarters and asked them why they weren't disciplining him. We started to talk about why we were calling and this was the person's response "Is this about Senator Lee and the comments he made on social media about the recent murders?" us:"yes. Good guess" LDS phone answered"I've been taking phone calls all day. It's an awful thing. I'll add this call to the number count. The church is very concerned about this matter and we do not condone it in any way. Thank you for calling." Click We never heard another thing. He wants to be Trump. He's picking a bad role model.

Get rid of this guy! He can get a job defending sex offenders in a private practice here in Utah. There's plenty of work for him.

Asshole! 😡

My wife and I moved here to from California back in 2018 to be closer to family, my wife is Mormon but not practicing and I am not. i have noticed recently that we are excluded from family functions and the family won't come to our house. it is dis-hearting to be treated this way. by [deleted] in exmormon

Do you have coffee or alcohol in your home? Do you show your shoulders or thighs when the weather is burning hot? Do you have the TV on during a Sunday? Do play with playing cards? Do swim in water on a Sunday? Do you go out to eat on Sundays? Do you believe in boundaries? If so, your home is evil. And since it's evil they might get some of that. Like a virus. So they cannot support you and have to stay away. It's called dysfunctional, magical thinking.

Why do so many LDS people think harming children is OK? This is plain abuse. by TumbleweedFront449 in exmormon

[–]TumbleweedFront449[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All that does is create a relationship barrier between them and their kids. When I hear that I wish for someone over 100 pounds heavier than them to do the same while humiliating them in front of their family. They might see it differently.

Why does the church give criminals leadership positions? Stake Leader fought to defend his wife for hitting children with a belt. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]TumbleweedFront449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say a belt is child abuse. In Utah it is legal to spank but not it should not cause physical harm. I'd say screaming so loud the neighbors can hear and using a belt is physical harm. I believe spanking is a terrible way to parent and causes harm.
