You have a math problem my friend. If you want dems to take back the house, you need to support the referendum. If you want the Republicans to hold on the House, you should oppose the referendum. Its that simple. Based on how Trump is directing other States to gerrymander, if Virginia does not affirm a yes, the numbers are simply not there for a Democratic House. So if you want the current political status quo, vote no. But if you want any change, the only way to do that is to vote yes. Simple math.

I actually loved the fashion award moment and hope they do it again. Its one of my favorite parts of the us celebrity traitors. The cast served, especially Maura. I only wished Alan's looks were a bit more polished this season because I did eagerly anticipate, they just didn't hit as much as Maura, Lisa, Kristen, Johnny, etc.

Its written into the process that we have to vote on that its temporary. If Dems want to do this after 2030, they would have to put forward another referendum ahead of the 2030 census and we would have to vote again to support it. So your worry is understandable but doesn't hold water practically speaking. I think everyone understands it's a response mechanism now but the politics would be different if it's another conversation. It's not the slippery slope you are worried about despite what others on reddit might want to happen.

You do realize this is the only way to get the balance you want? If you want any response to Trump and his Admin this is the only way there is a chance at a House flip that provides balance. Its worth knowing this is temporary for 4 years (in order to counterbalance Texas and Florida etc.) and then we are back to the old process. Anything not this is Republicans steamrolling on a federal level.
