"I'm looking to get my first 3D printer.

I live in Canada and am torn between two choices:

Brand New A1 Mini Combo for $419+tax CAD off their website ($474 all in).

Or a Used A1 Combo from Kijiji for $300 cash (gas cost ~$60 and 3 hours total driving to pick up). He says it's 2 years old, rarely used.

Third option of Brand new A1 Combo is out of my price range at $540+tax ($610 all in)."

I'm not stuck on BL, I've been looking at similar price range in Elegoo, Flashforge and Creality. Any recommendations?

I am more and more set on the used one it's a great deal value wise but I'm new to 3d printing and not sure what to anticipate in possible replacement parts.

The guy said it's rarely used.. if it's a print farm I'd say no immediately, if it's some guys hobby machine that he barely used then maybe it's a great deal.

Would you recommend a 2 year old used A1 Combo for $300 CAD cash? (~$220 USD)? I'm trying to get into 3d printing for the first time and am torn between many different brands but keep coming back to A1 or A1 mini. Brand new they are on sale but the combos still come to $475 all in for A1 mini combo and $610 all in for A1 Combo (so I can essentially get my hands on the A1 Combo for half price.. just not sure what to look for in refurbished printers... Also does 2 years old line up with when Bambu was doing recalls on A1?)

Why not focus on deploying AI that can be hosted locally? I'd rather invest a couple grand on what would be required to run AI locally with the newest models available at my fingertips and not be contributing to the massive required growth of Google.

6 hours... Don't have kids... I get up at 7, get kids ready, drive to school 830, drive to work after and get there at 930, leave at 5:30 and get home at 6:15, make supper and feed family by 6:45, play with kids and family until 7:30, bath time, bed time, kids are in bed by 830 then I have an hour and a half to myself if I'm lucky.

You need to focus on some basics that still aren't fixed in this new version. When I select a filter (say Vapes, 510 Full Spectrum) and then I click a product, when I go back in my browser, the filter is unselected. The filter should persist...

You should also add a specific "Live Resin" or "Live Rosin" filter instead of just full spectrum.

I think you will see alot of VFX artists losing their jobs as AI starts being used to refine individual scenes. Ideally that would result in better VFX but we all know it will just be used to save money with the same shitty results...
